New faction and naval battles. I'm not 100% sold on how they will handle naval battles, but it will definitely make the game a lot more interesting if they expand the map along with the naval stuff. With an expansion of base game features, I'm sure modders will be able to make some pretty fun stuff from this.

i'm gonna guess they will be the same as castle battles - with a fully static background. They will just replace the castle ramparts with ships and boarding planks - just a guess, M&B was always designed rather simply.
