Is the bold part actually true for non-citizens going through customs ?
I'm not certain but it is against the premise of free speech guaranteed in the First Amendment to the US Constitution. If US citizens are allowed to criticize its leadership, it should follow that those who visit should have the same right. I am indignant.

The US constitution is very clear in that non citizens enjoy most of the same rights as citizens.

Someone here on a green card or visiting has every right to criticize the president and express themselves.
It's what made this country great and a model to follow.
The problem is that while that might be true once in the US; they have to pass through custom to get into the us and if they are blocked from entering the us i'm not sure it is true either way. Don't get me wrong - i think it is disgusting but it still might be legal - at least more legal than some of the other bullshit like trying to deport people IN the us who non-violently protest Israel genocidal actions or attempting to use wartime act to deport non-american with tattoo to foreign prisons without due process.

The worst part of what they are doing to normal people is detaining some, sometimes for days or weeks, who would otherwise simply return home. If CBP decides to deny entry for any reason then the person in question should immediately (and in a language they understand) be given the option to return to their country of citizenship on the next available transportation. If they cannot afford to do so the government should pay their way.

It's pretty shitty to issue people visas to visit and then rug pull at the border. But why should we expect better from people who relish being cruel? (I mean, we should expect and demand better).

Having billionaires on his side and a sanewashing media was pretty helpful.
Trump is also the best we have ever seen at manipulating the media to do his bidding. This is a guy who got a bunch of money from daddy and lost it by driving all his businesses into the ground yet he got the media to promote him as the model American business genius. And when he was finally dead in the water and about to go broke he got NBC to rescue him with that bullshit game show where he cosplayed a successful businessman. Trump is the best I have ever seen at promoting an image with nothing backing it and people have been eating it up for it for 45 years.

To be very clear, most of the Constitution follows the notion that rights are self evident and that all people share them, whether you're in the US or not, whether you're a citizen or not. The US generally accepts the fact that it can only enforce this on its own soil (barring, y'know, the times we didn't) but it doesn't really delineate those rights based on geographic location or citizenry.

Note this is the reason I think Trump/whoever comes in behind him will trash it. It's incongruent to their eventual goals.

I'm impressed with all the mileage mushroom dick is getting out of the "energy emergency" that doesn't exist, like the "border crisis" but with even less basis.

I like how he is now claiming SBA will handle federal student loans... Nevermind what the master promissory note or statutes require payment to the department of education...

New legal avenue for student loan lawsuits (breach of contract)?

Whatever law firm is first to file that class action will be fucking set forever.

"If you've had your student loan unlawfully moved by the federal government, you may be entitled to financial compensation!"

French MP wants return of statue of liberty.

Leave it in New York, but the Northeast US goes to Canada.
Only way that statue remains in the "Land of the Free".

Yes! The minute they step on US soil, inside our borders, they are subject to our laws, and the constitution, including the rights and protections it offers. Customs and ports of entry are inside our borders. Entry into the US by non citizens falls under our immigration laws, laws that only apply inside the US. It seems that you believe that those immigration laws apply to non citizens at the border, in customs, but not the constitution.

Until 2016 that was true anyways.

Uh oh Trump has lost it - he no longer knows what he signs:

Perhaps he needs to be removed since he doesn't know what he is doing these days....
HFS!!

“I don’t know when it was signed, because I didn’t sign it,” Trump told reporters before leaving the White House on Friday evening.

“We want to get criminals out of our country, number one, and I don’t know when it was signed, because I didn’t sign it,” Trump said. “Other people handled it, but (Secretary of State) Marco Rubio has done a great job and he wanted them out and we go along with that. We want to get criminals out of our country.”

The proclamation invoking the Alien Enemies Act appears in the Federal Register with Trump’s signature at the bottom.

Shitlol

This tells you all you need to know about the deleterious effects of becoming addicted to watching television. The average American watches how many hours of TV daily?

The average American watches roughly 3 hours of TV per day.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:
  • Recent Data:
In 2023, U.S. viewers aged 15 and older spent an average of almost three hours watching TV daily.

  • Age Differences:
Adults aged 65 and above spent the most time watching television at over four hours per day, while 15 to 19-year-olds watched TV for less than two hours each day.

  • Weekly Viewing:
This translates to roughly 21 hours of TV viewing per week.

  • Weekend vs. Weekday:
People tend to watch more TV on weekends, averaging about 3 hours and 19 minutes per day, compared to 2 hours and 32 minutes on weekdays.

There's a difference between a scientist and a top level scientist.

I swear he's going to have his mappy face slapped on the nation's C note first. Of course, he's going to want to use that cheezy heavily doctored up mug shot he took in jail.
Only dead presidents get on currency. He won't make it dead or alive.

One day he'll look in the mirror for the last time. It won't be a good day for him but it will be a great day for America.
