The timing of all Trump's BS is very bad for the US hospitality industry since China recently started permitting visa free tourism travel from almost the entire EU. Even without reciprocity.
Visa free tourism also creates a shit ton of problems like Russian mafia expats who start thinking they own the place, and ofcourse criminal cartels.
Thailand has had to deal with a ton of these problems as they wanted their economy to recover from COVID but now they're trying to scale the visa free entry down to 30 days from 90 after protests from the native population who think the situation is out of control.
