Yes, there is.
They should slow things down and plan ahead better.

I don't think they need to throw out the entire USAID, But what we had was a huge waste and threw money away for stupid things that could be used for AID here in the US or Overseas.

I don't think they need to ban Gays and Trans in the military as long as they already have their surgery completed on their own dime. They should also be fit for duty as any other service person all to the same standard. Taxpayers should not be on the hook for these surgeries.

What specifically was a huge waste of money? I’m not aware of all the programs they were involved with so some insight would be nice.

I don't care what they cost. I don't agree taxpayer money should be used for it.

But it can be quite expensive IAW this chart:

🗽United States: $15,000 - $138,000.
If you care about military readiness going forward, you should support trans people in the military. For some time now, and going forward, a large part of warfare is cyberwarfare. Trans women have a reputation for their prowess in that arena (for good reason), if you want to attract and retain that talent for the US military, it makes sense to offer benefits (the same way we offer signing bonuses for specific categories currently).

It's also a bit funny that you're so clueless about trans people you posted FTM-specific surgery costs as a general representation for overall trans surgery costs, also with no specifics of which treatments are included (which is probably the reason for the extremely broad range). But you're just opposed to it on principle even though you don't understand anything about it.

EDIT:
After reading more on this subject it appears that a lot of this came from not USAID, but the State Department. Regardless it is still insane wasting of taxpayer dollars and should be stopped.

And you are sure all of these descriptions are accurate and were funded by USAID?

I don't have an issue with Trans People or Gays in the military as long as they can do the job and meet all the required standards. Trans people should be required to have gotten all transition surgery before they enter the military. I stated this earlier.

What I have is an issue with is taxpayers funding elective transition surgery. Due to the cost and the extended downtime required for recovery.

Funny how you're totally okay with the taxpayer expense of military pornstar "wives" who use it to bankroll their big boob fetishs at our expense and then they get richer on Onlyfans!

I don't and never said anything about that. Never heard of it before. I highly doubt that the military is paying for these boob jobs.

You have any verification of this alleged travesty?

Lots of those things are wrong, misleading, or lies. For example I picked one of the largest ones ($6 million for tourism in Egypt) and sure enough, complete bullshit and amusingly enough Trump was the one who made the agreement. So remember, never trust ANYTHING these clowns say. They will lie to you about the weather just to stay in practice.

The $6 million award in Egypt referred to a bilateral assistance agreement signed in 2019, under the first Trump administration, that made no mention of promoting tourism.

Let's be maximally charitable and assume every single one of those is accurate though. (very strange to include two decade old Bush admin Afghanistan war expenditures!)

USAID has a yearly budget of ~$23 billion. Even if we assumed all these expenditures happened in a single year (and they very, VERY much did not) and that the entirety of the expenditure was bad, that would comprise about 1% of USAID's budget. If you remove the 20 year old Afghan war expenditures it comprises 0.08% of USAID's budget. If you spread them over the actual time frame in question it's a number so small you probably need scientific notation to express it readably.

Even if you take their claims to want efficiency at face value (LOL) this is one of the most incompetent efforts at efficiency in history.

Generally speaking Tricare does not cover cosmetic surgery unless it's related to another medical condition.

In the realm of foreign aid, I can think of very few projects more beneficial to international stability than promoting DEI in Serbia. Changing hearts is cheaper than stopping genocide.
