I've got two 9070XT cards so far, a 9070XT Taichi and a 9070XT Nitro+. OptiScaler convinced me to throw a 9070XT card in my PC and replaced a 3090. Definitely loving it so far. More FPS for lower watts, I'll take it.
What TBP are you seeing at stock power limit on both cards?

Techpowerup has claimed stock and OC(+10%) power limit figures for several cards, including my Mercury MagAir OC, but I think they are false numbers. I noticed in 7900XTX reviews they published power limits for several cards that were outright wrong, much higher than the actual power limits of the cards.

They claim my card is 360W stock and 396W OC but the actual power limits I have are 340W/374W.

I'm wondering if they have the same wrong information for the rest of the cards as well.

Stock the TBP of the cards I have are 330W and if you set the power limit to +10% it rises to 360W according to the Adrenalin software which is also correlated with what I'm seeing in HWINFO64.

Nonetheless here's what's going down and how impressive these 9070XT cards are to me: In CP2077, in 4K, with EVERYTHING on Ultra (you can also set Screen Space Reflections to Psycho) but minus Path Tracing (disabled) it's a virtual candy land on my LG C1 OLED. 120FPS average which I have max FPS set to (min 108, max 135.) Funny enough the benchmark tool reports that I have a 4090.

Anyway. That's damn impressive. The best part? I can reduce TBP by -30% and still get this 120FPS figure and only expend 230 watts doing it. Super important to get as much FPS for as low wattage as you can here in CA with the expensive electricity. 9070XT is a home run. I originally wanted a 5090 and tried so hard, but nope don't think I will now. These video cards are amazing, yo.

330W checks out for the Nitro+, are you sure the Taichi is 330W and not 340W?

This confirms TPU numbers are not accurate. They claim the Nitro+ is 350W/385W and the Taichi is 366W/404W.

Maybe they are using measured power, but these figures dont match their given measured power numbers, either. Where did these numbers come from?

yeah but the 5090 and the 9070XT are in different catigories.
I suppose if you don't need it, then its probably a waste of extra real estate.

But me and my brother sort of need them because we have these:

And unless we want any decent playable FPS on it, you need at least a 4090, which i currently have on it.

This is why i am kicking the can.
I can either downgrade monitors and get a Sakura 9070XT because i really want that yeston card due to its white PCB, not because it smells nice... (shifting eyes) .. but that monitor is such awesome when you play a FPS or a Third person open world.

This is why i am at the mercy of Nvidia.... i wish AMD would release a 9090XTX with 90% of the prowess of a 5090.
Then i would jump ship back to red like i did a long time ago.

Or at the VERY LEAST PLEASE BRING BACK XFIRE and let us XFIRE 2 x 9070XT's. Im pretty sure that would get close to a 5090 since u gain at least about 30-40% more performance adding that second card.

Crossfire isn't exactly dead. Support for multi-GPU is dead because in Vulkan and DX12 the onus is on the game developer to implement support.

You can still chuck a couple cards in and crossfire them to throw off some benchmarking memes for benchmarks that are pre-dx12/vulkan or have explicit support added like Timespy. I did it with some 6900XT's.

If anybody gets their hands on multiple 9070XT's we can see if they can do the same.

I'm in the same boat as you and your brother and planned to buy a 5090 when they dropped but absolutely refuse to pay $3k+ for it. A Radeon 9090XT with 90% of the horsepower of the 5090 for $1,400 or less would have been awesome. Oh well.

I refuse to even pay 2600 for them... thats 1000 dollars more then i paid for my 4090. 1000 dollars is a entire CORE Gaming PC on a X3D platform even.... motherboard + Ram + CPU.

There is no way im gonna pay more then 1999.99 the FE or the PNY version costs for it, otherwise i'll just hold onto my 4090 and pray next gen doesn't get as bad.

In an interview with ASUS's China Manager, Tony Yu, AMD's CEO confirmed that the series was a big hit, and it surpassed the first-week sales figures versus the prior generation of Radeon GPUs by 10X.

As the demand for RDNA 4 GPUs increases, Dr. Lisa Su also confirmed that they are increasing the manufacturing of their latest GPUs so that more gamers can have access to them. This would lead to better supply and, in turn, better prices for gamers.

With any luck AMD senior leadership don't walk away with the idea that giving up on Halo means more sales and recognize the situation for what it is as well as their misstep in not coming in hot with Halo this round.

Hope springs eternal and all that...
