I edited my response after more reading.

EDIT:
After reading more on this subject it appears that a lot of this came from not USAID, but the State Department. Regardless it is still insane wasting of taxpayer dollars and should be stopped.

But that was not the point

They are still lies and you have doubled down on lies and you still believe them

It's so disingenuous anyways, he's totally ignoring all the other shit they're cutting just out of spite, how are you going to argue the entire DoE should be shit-canned, are funds helping special education "waste and fraud".

It's really unfair to try to bring facts to a discussion. It's hilarious and sad that he just threw his hands up in the air with the "Let the courts decide" deflection.

I understand that you don't always agree on what the government is spending money on and sometimes it clearly has some political bias. But what I don't understand (rationally) is why people are concerned about the pebbles you can find in DEI projects, when there are boulders within the system which would matter far more economical.

The only logical reason is that the politics are more important than the economic aspect, but they excuse their politics with economic reasoning, because otherwise it would be obviously racist, homophobic and misogynistic.

Fossil fuel subsidies still strangely missing from any cost saving cuts, I think?

It’s worse than that. The Trump administration is planning to use the Defense Production Act to pay fossil fuel companies to conduct activities that the market doesn’t support or need. The Trump admin is pretending that we have an “energy emergency” and is pulling out the stops to make sure we over produce fossil fuels.

That's the problem though - by then it will be too late. The damage they are doing will not be easily undone.

The courts are not designed to deal with an executive that no longer feels bound by the Constitution. They aren't able to act swiftly enough to protect the public.

Courts will stop it, right?

I don't care what they cost. I don't agree taxpayer money should be used for it.

But it can be quite expensive IAW this chart:

🗽United States: $15,000 - $138,000.

All the money USAID was giving US farmers to grow food for starving people will now go toward paying them to not grow food so prices don't crash. So big win if you love corporate welfare and people dying I guess.

I can see why they don't want to answer the district court's questions, because they're fucking up big time. WTF, this stuff is monstrous.

But please, conservative posters tell me how both sides might have a point and the truth is somewhere in the middle.

I like how when Trump is caught with top secret documents in his bathroom next to a copier conservatives are like ‘let’s see how this plays out in the courts’ and when this happens they are just like ‘lol such is life’.

How can we possibly know what truth is? We must not believe our lying eyes and ears, and trust only in the courts. Also, who cares what the biased courts say?

The sweeping order amends the federal voter registration form to require proof of citizenship in order to vote. It demands documentary proof for citizenship such as a passport to be eligible to vote in federal elections, empowers federal agencies to cut funding to states deemed non-compliant and instructs the Department of Justice to prosecute what the White House paints as “election crimes”.

The measure also seeks to block states from accepting mail-in ballots after election day, regardless of when they are mailed in.
