You know as well as I do people are stupid. Sometimes we make laws to save people from themselves. Speed limits not only help protect the driver but others on the road. Child labor laws are there to protect kids from irresponsible parents. You want the kids to suffer because their parents are stupid.Because I don't need a politician to tell me what's right or wrong. I don't need laws to keep me from lying cheating and stealing. I sure as hell never needed a law to protect my children from being worked to death.
The politicians that want to allow this are assholes, and obviously getting paid by someone to change the law, but theirs isn't the last word. Parents decide if their child is allowed to work, and I'd really like to believe that most parents would absolutely forbid their children from taking a night shift job. At 14, the only job they should have is being children.

As far as farms and butcheries, it has been done by people of all ages, legal or illegal so nothing is really changing.
Working age Floridians are also bolting from the state in record numbers even as more retirees keep moving in. So the natives are leaving, labor demand will keep going up, and the state is making the migrants leave. So child labor is the solution lol.

In Chicago, some parents will take their kids out of school and force them to sell candy on public transportation during the day. They tell their kids they can't come home unless they sell X dollars of candy.
