Good news. Hopefully this sentiment spreads across the country thru the mid cycle and beyond. We have local elections here in bucks. Hopefully the local dems can hold.

Self haters possess a powerful urge to shit on the floor, so much of their self loathing the result of their parents insane inability to deal with their kids shit, but once as adults after they throw it everywhere there is nobody around who smells it but themselves. There objective and tangible results to self control. Fucking only yourself attempting to fuck others can get old.

The evolution of spirituality is the wisdom of knowing how to turn shit into roses.

I am surprised the loser hasn't called fraud in the election.
Isn't that what the syphilitic orange menace has told all his demented disciples to scream when they lose?

Ultimately it's a Kidzbop-level office in the grand scheme of things.

They're keeping their powder dry for 2026, literally and figuratively.

Anti-incumbency is stronger when society is going to shit. Millions of Americans think the party in control of the WH control everything. This is merely the result of thousands of Pennsylvanians getting shit on even though Trump, not Biden, is President. Why isn't he fixing things fast enough?

What you are looking for is indications the D base is at least at motivated and pissed off as they were in 2017/2018. Over performing in special elections is one significant signpost along the way.

I believe those signposts existed on the way to 2024 as well, so should be taken with a grain of salt.

The D coalition is kinda primed to do better in these than the Rs now. However the margins were much smaller in the run up to the Presidential in 24. If they are clearing R+20 or +30 districts that is a pretty vivdid warning about what might await next year for Republicans.

Yeah, but it isn't about what Democrats do or don't do. It's about what Trump and Republicans do or don't do. Democrats can help by tapping into prevailing sentiment, but that's about it. Doesn't really matter though because even if Dems win back control Reps just block any meaningful change and then the public elects Republicans again because Dems aren't fixing anything.

The truth is the public fucking hates big policy changes that they can feel or understand. Even if they are voting for the people who will do them. Thermostatic politics almost always wins in the end.

My number one priority for Ds if they get another trifecta in 2029 is to pack SCOTUS. Immediately. Voters don't give a fuck about it and its is a prerequisite for any actual durable progress. Conservatives have ruled through the court and there is no reason we can't do the same.

Dems can do a shitload more than they are doing actually. That's been pointed out many times and in the many ways they could do so.

Yes, exactly. There's no point in trying to pass meaningful new laws until you fix SCOTUS because they will simply invalidate them if it's policy they don't like based on made up reasoning.

The student loan and immunity rulings should put that in sharp relief for Democrats. If SCOTUS can find a way to invalidate student loan forgiveness despite utterly crystal clear legislative text authorizing it then no law is safe.

He looks like his evening relaxing routine involves him shedding his human skin and settling down to consume some whole fresh rats!

You would think it would behoove Democrats to constantly message when interviewed for anything to repeat over and over again that the cause of their misery and why it's not fixable is the Robert's Supreme Court.

The problem here is that I'm not at all confident all Democrats (or maybe even most Democrats) share that view.

I think the fact that they don't is absolutely insane but I think it's true.
