I have Bloodborne but could never get into it. It's a really hard game for me. I don't know why, as I am a pro at Eldenring and Darksouls III.Finally, playing Bloodborne! Got it and the DLC on sale!
Great game and enjoying it throughly. Love the left handed gun parrying mechanic, and, as with all such games, the parrying just comes very easily and intuitively for me.
Kind'a got my rhythm thrown when I hit the Nightmare Frontier. This area is just horrible--classic Miyazaki! Used my all my reserve blood vials in this section, and actually had to farm to buy replacements.

Bloodborne is like Sekiro in that there is only one way to play it: in Bloodborne's case, learn to parry or die. In Sekiro's learn to deflect and parry or die. Elden Ring allows much more diversity in how you play.I have Bloodborne but could never get into it. It's a really hard game for me. I don't know why, as I am a pro at Eldenring and Darksouls III.

In Elden Ring I have to dual wield so that kills parry for me. Love the blood build attacks too much, especially committing seppuku with a blood uchigatana before every fight.Parry is certainly my favored style and the one that comes most easily for me. I find parrying easier than dodging in ER too. Actually, I don't think I could defeat a crucible knight without parrying.
After the big spider (Rom?) and Moon turned a little orange, I ran into this hunter with blood katanas, I think Eileen's quest. This guy was tough and without parries, I have no idea how one would beat him. His gun takes almost half my health and his katana kill me in two chops.
So far, I don't find it particularly hard except for the last boss and the Nightmare area. Generally, if I can parry, then it's pretty smooth. It's much rougher when I can't, like the big spider.

Funny you say that, as I had to unlearn Dark Souls to get anywhere in Sekiro. Was playing it like Dark Souls until I got to one boss, forget the name but the guy at the top of a temple, that I flat out could not do shit to trying to play like a Souls game. Had to just make a new character, restart the game, and this time work on polishing my swordfighting to advance. What's funny is Sekiro will still have the occasional boss where the deflect & parry don't work well and you have to fight them like a Souls boss.Though, if I had redo, I'd wish Sekiro had been my first FromSoft game. What an experience that would've been to learn from that game, rather than already being somewhat "skilled" at these types of games when I had gotten to it.

Damn how do you remember those names? Those are precisely the two bosses I was thinking of, although I think there is another boss in Sekiro that is a straight Souls style fight if I remember right: another demon or something who I think you fight maybe at the end of a canyon, my memory is hazy though.Top of the hill, Genichiro? Oh, Demon of Hatred is a pure ole fashioned Souls fight where I relied on dodging more so than parrying.
Played the demo for Khazan first beserker on PC and I'll be buying it on release. It is decent and the cell shaded graphics have a nice touch actually. Really enjoyed the combat in the demo and it's been a while since Iast played a souls like game.
Looks really interesting and I'm tempted to pick it up too. After your initial 5-10 hrs, would you mind giving us your quick take on the game? Thanks!
