I'm aware of his bullshit. Doesn't change how the dumb public reacts.The reason people still support him on immigration is because he appears tough. Even though he is largely terrorizing innocent migrants, random tourists, and deporting visa holders for saying stuff he doesn't like. Deportation figures haven't moved much really and he's started canning people because he knows it and is pissed.
Where the rubber will meet the road is if they really gear up to do what he wants and millions of workers are deported or otherwise forced out of the country. I think this is inevitable because that's the only way you can get to those figures. Workplace raids on contractors, ag workers, etc that detain hundreds of people at a go. Tons of businesses will fail and prices will rise. He's told people there is no trade off to getting rid of 10M workers who largely do jobs native borns don't want to. Like with tariffs voters have to learn the hard way.
