@FelixDeCat fine I'll bite and try to explain something in laymen's terms to you where it effects you.
Remember this??
The US is a service based economy. Pharmacies need people. Trips to the doctor need people. Deliveries need people. Road construction needs people. Flipping burgers, caregiving, whatever, health and social care require people. All need people of employable age.
Florida is home to retirees so deporting migrant labor is finding yourself in a hole and then digging deeper. If you get rid of the immigrants because you don't like their skin color or whatever.. then you start to scrape the bottom of the barrel and put your own kids at risk..
Demographics is like betting against the house. In the long run you can’t win. Make the kids work? Sure, and when you run out of 14 and 15 year olds then what? 12 years and above? 10 years?
And you want to bring manufacturing back.. well that requires people too or you can admit the long term the solution is robots, but then who pays the taxes which feed our military industrial complex, our armies and navy and air force that help us project power overseas?
The reliance on robots and AI solutions puts a further burden on the already struggling energy sector. All that extra power needs to come from somewhere. And Trump/ MAGA have outlawed solar/ wind/ hydro farms which then accelerates climate change.
Oh not to mention you need people to dig the coal out. It's an absolute mess.
I'm curious what your solution is to the demographic problem of replacing skilled migrant workers.
So what do you want to do? Just shift all the old people to El Salvador. Tell them its a made by MAGA super max retirement village in the Everglades??
BTW Hungary passed what was dubbed the ‘slavery law’ a few years back giving employers the right to demand staff do compulsory overtime but defer paying for it for three years. This was done to keep non-EU immigration low. But look at their debt levels now.. and you scream about debt a lot IIRC! So what's your solution??
