My son just got a new PC. It has the following specs:

Intel 245K
MSI Z890 Tomahawk
32GB Corsair Vengeance
Acer Nitro OC B580

We moved his NVME drives over from his old PC which was an AMD 5600X, MSI B550 Tomahawk, and Nvidia GTX1660. So naturally we had to install new drivers. I went to the MSI site and downloaded every driver they have on the page for the motherboard and also the B580 GPU. We still have 3 PCI Devices listed in Device Manager that have yellow exclamation points. I looked at the hardware IDs and did a search for them but nothing really leads to an answer. Perhaps some of you might know what else to try. Here are the hardware IDs for these 3 devices.

Sometimes being a power user is more work than doing things the normie way. Download the driver and support assistant it'll scan and install everything. https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html

You can nuke it after it's done if you like.
I think we may have this installed too. It told me we had driver updates for lan and bt. But I'll double check when we get back home.
Could be Intel Chipset or the Intel NPU driver.
NPU driver is installed. Can't find the Intel chipset driver though.

So, we're using Win 10. When you select Win 10 as the operating system there are less drivers available. I could try installing the ones for Win 11.

I believe this is how Microsoft may try strong-arming users into accepting Win11 by getting manufacturers to stop their drivers from working with Win10.

AE23 = SPI Flash Controller
Source: Doc 832586 / Intel Core Ultra 200S and 200HX Series Processors Datasheet, Volume 1 of 2

7F24 = SPI Flash Controller
Source: Doc 833778 / Intel 800 Series Chipset Family Platform Controller Hub (PCH) Datasheet, Volume 1 of 2

7F2F = Non VGA Device (Not sure what this is. I'm curious about what is Intel official name. Based on numeration it SEEMS it should be a Chipset device)

In Windows this kind of thing usually uses some kind of dummy driver so that people doesn't have the Yellow Exclamation in Device Manager, but otherwise it does nothing. Don't give it that much importance.

Downloading the Chipset drivers from the Win11 tab did the trick. Pretty crappy to not have those drivers on the Win 10 page.

MSI might wonder why you're using an Intel 15th gen CPU with an OS that I'm not sure was even optimised for Alder Lake, that's just aside from the fact that support is about to expire for Win10.

Another possibility is that Intel didn't officially release the chipset driver package (and whatever other drivers) for Windows 10, though in my experience it's often the case with Intel drivers that the package will refuse to install on an "unsupported OS" even though the drivers install just fine.

According to Intel the 245K officially supports Windows 10 so board manufacturers should provide the drivers on their site.
