The Constitution is supposed to constrain government actions. They don't get to skip random steps because someone wasn't a citizen (or claiming that someone wasn't a citizen, or whatever other bullshit they want to make up).

Selective application of rules and process means there is no rules and process.

Seems the real issue is that he's from El Salvador, so the US can't force their government to had over their citizen even if he was a legal resisdent of the US.

We can’t FORCE them but we could 100% get him back if we wanted to. The agreement we signed with El Salvador said we control the prisoners.

Abrego Garcia could be returned to the USA in under twelve hours, allowing a liberal amount of time for processing. Yet he is not back. This is the Trumpist party testing out what happens if they simply ignore the law. They aren’t just ignoring the law but the highest court ruling. A 9 - 0 ruling!!. There’s nowhere to go from here. That’s the first domino. Why should I expect free and fair elections in 2026?. Best guess? Without the means to enforce, and with the White House realizing this, the Supreme Court will most likely do nothing.
