I picked one of these up last week for $519 and set it up last night. Played some UT2003 and Age of Mythology with no ghosting whatsoever. Also watched a concert on DVD with equally impressive picture quality. BTW, I'm using the DVI port with an ATI 9500 Pro. Good stuff!

This is a good deal but buying the items seperately will save you an additional $2.79.
DI-614+ for $118.95
DWL-650+ for $68.21
Seems a bit strange that the bundle price is higher. I took advantage of this deal already and got my wireless network up and running last night. :D

I've been following the threads over at ViaHardware.com and plan to jump all over the SS51 as soon as it's available. Who needs a full-size ATX motherboard with everything built in when you can have a SFF masterpiece? The only expansion slots I use in my Asus P4S533-based system are 1 AGP and...
I'm using the Arkua 8568 w/ a 1.6a @ 2.32 GHz. Full load temps fell from ~52C to ~42C running Prime95. I also thinned out the layer of ASII on the heatspreader so that probably accounts for some of the difference.
Temps were read using AsusProbe 2.17.00 on a P4S533.

p.s. I bought the...
Thanks for the tip, bwass24. I will dig around in the BIOS. I'm certain that the chassis intrusion header is capped with a jumper and not one of the connectors from the front of the case.
Does anyone know where the BIOS option is?
At the first reboot during a fresh WinXP install I realized I had an incorrect jumper setting on the P4S533 since I could hear the helpful little voice through the case speaker. I powered down the system during this reboot to switch the jumper. Upon powering up again I was greeted with the...
Mine does the same thing. I thought the power supply wasn't giving the system enough juice so I upgraded to a 350W Sparkle PS. Unfortunately, that didn't stop the behavior mted1 describes. :(

Another vote for the Soyo 6BA+IV or +100. I've owned both and had great success with them. No problems with overclocking a PIII-450 to 600 and a PIII-700 to 933.

CrazyDog,
The configuration that you ended up with is the only configuration that has been stable for me since I've had this mobo.
PCI 1 = empty
PCI 2 = empty
PCI 3 = SBLIVE
PCI 4 = NIC
PCI 5 = empty
It's been running for me like this for 4 days straight.

Check out Fighting Chance for some great information and some eye-opening tips. I sent for their info, spent 30 minutes faxing out bid requests to dealerships, heard from 9 dealers within 24 hours and went with the quote that was the least amount over invoice.
I got the exact car I wanted and...
FDISK /MBR will restore the Windows-required Master Boot Record. The next time you boot the machine it should boot into Windows. I imagine using the RH floppy will get you into Linux.

1. Boot from Win98 START disk (floppy)
2. At A:\ type FDISK /MBR
3. Remove boot floppy and reboot
That should get you back into Windoze. Hope this helps.

No way are you going to find one in that range. A guy I work with just moved up here from Queens and is paying $1200 for a 1 bedroom in Brighton (a neighborhood of Boston.) Try Quincy or Braintree which are right on the T's Red Line.

Thanks for the insight, xtreme2k. I suspected the 64 vs 128-bit memory bus would swing the vote in favor of the TNT1.
Anyone else want to offer an opinion?
