keyboard help

have done both between posts, can navigate with kb in setup but not windows. Tomorrow is Monday...looks like I get a new keyboard...maybe USB with new software. Thanks for walking me through this.

keyboard works in setup but not after wndows loads...have to use onsreen to log on...PS/2...reinstall driver...no luck

Bose Box vs. True Surround

Any thoughts on the Yamaha RXV-663 vs. Onkyo TX-SR606? Liked the 606 feature & price... Has anyone tried these?...Klipsch Synergy III series 6 1/2"... sound good in store...also: Klipsch KSW-10 and lastly what's the deal with the DLP tvs? Saw some great pictures and some great prices...

I guess for right now it's really the built in video upscaling that gives the 863 the edge...that and the HD radio(not big onn paying for radio...TV & internet is bad enough). I am about 50 miles south of Memphis, TN and I know there are a couple of what we used to call "stereo stores" left...

OK...Reality check here!!! It was getting kind of late and I was getting lazy... Might as well go ahead and bump the receiver up a notch: Yamaha RX-V863 and I have the perfect placement for these with the room layout: QS8 v2 Surround Speakers With 30 days to listen to the speakers...

Any thoughts on the following: OLYMPUS SP-570 UZ vs Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50 Digital Camera Panasonic supports higher resolution in video mode, but I'll be on a boat with a bunch of strangers. It's not like I will be taping hours of X-mas morning gift unwrapping.

Just the requisite 5.1 off the pc, blu-ray & a ton of digital tunes...the first ex-wife got all the good stuff (vinyl!) But size-wise it's only about 10x10 so I'm cool for now. All present components are pretty much dated. Been buting for the kids & waiting for them to leave & take it with them...

2.1 is looking like the way to go for now. My girlfriend isn't all that crazy about ear-splitting clarity...plus I'm looking at the VHS to DVD converters for all her familly X-mas & birthday tapes. Personally I have my own little cave for when I want to pretend I'm 18 again for a little while...

My GF is thoroughly smitten with the Bose wave system ads... Any thoughts on the Bose Acoustic Wave II(full size version) as opposed to a comparably priced ($1000-$1100) multi-speaker system. I know the Bose only has L&R RCA connectors for aux. input. Just for two 40somethings celebrating...

Yeah...Already perused the FAQ's. Got a few weeks before I build(or buy) so I am trying to spend more time searching & reading than posting stupid questions when I don't know what I'm really asking. Really want to build...hate to spend a lot of money just to wind up with a lot of dialers, etc...

Funny how 2 cents can often be worth so much more. I need to be brought back down to earth every once in a while...but still love to dream big. I will probably split the difference and go with the E8400 just to say I have it. Once I hit the big time I will invest in the big boy toys!!!:o

I have roughly 1500 to 1800 to spend before periphals, but would like to squeeze in a new video camera if I could. I'm really after new system first because I can have friends & family send me their vids & pics to work with.

I am now looking @ the possibility of building around the Q9450. Not quite as fast i guess but someone suggested for heavy editing/encoding apps so throw everything out the window for a while. Very fluid situation...(LOL)
