I got 16gb of ram. Task manager reports im using 23% of it so around 3.7 gb but I go to add all the tasks up and it is around 1.3-1.5 gb total. Stopped counting when I got to single digit processes which are roughly half of all running process. numbers dont add up, whats using up the other 2.2 gb?

There is this program called Rootkit that I have found when scanning my anti virus. During scanning the Word "RootKit" pops up every few seconds. I read that its a type of virus that normal scanners and such wont pick up and will just ignore. Has anyone had this before? How can I get rid of it.
