Well, hmm, I only play for like 1 hour straight at max, but I guess I could stick them in and see what I get. Thanks for everyone's input, I'll probably come back here for help should anything explode :).

So eg if there's a black wire going through the air and I apply AA, it makes so that the pixels around the wire that before was part of the sky, now slowly changes color from blue to black so that there isn't any sharp edge? Edit: Cobolman said exactly this, had to edit so I wouldn't look...

Anti-Aliasing on LCD

As far as I understand, Anti-Aliasing smooth out the jaggies by increasing the resolution in that particular spot? But if this is correct, how can AA work on LCDs which have a native res? (Maybe should've been posted in Technical?)

Would I see any performance gains by purchasing a SATA 3.0 Gb/s drive?

Well, I bought the MSI K8N Neo4 nForce4 Ultra a while ago, advertised as using a SATA 3.0 Gb/s controller. My HDD is a Samsung P120S, also SATA 3.0 Gb/s. But when i read on the motherboard's box it says SATA 1,5 Gb/s... Is there any way I can measure the speed to determine which way it is?

Well, my CRT's manual states that 1280x1024 is the recommended resolution. Has the CRT's bios got screwed in some way since resetting to factory setttings doesn't reomve the black bars? I'm getting tired of this...

Someone With Experience of MSI K8N Neo-4 FI?

As you can see in my sig, I'm thinking of byuing the MSI K8N Neo-4 FI mobo. I'm just wondering, how much room is there for a PCI-E x16 card, as pictures shows the chipset fan to be very close to the PCI-E slot? I'm particularly thinking of the Asus X800XL card.

A test made by Driverheaven.net shows the X800XL as slightly better than the 6800GT in all settings in Rome: Total War. The AoE3 test stirred my mind, as I had settled for the Asus X800XL. Now maybe I have to get a 6800GT instead.
