Nothing in Staples price match policy precludes matching Costco. Bring a printout of their polcy, and stick to your guns, you should win this one. And both units appear to be identical.
I doubt it will help, though. Costco net price is $160 ($180 - $20 IR). Staples net price is also $160 ($190...
WTF?! I ordered 3/16, and was promised 3/20 delivery; now when I log on , I see "delivery refused"... I'd understand (but not be happy) if they said "price error", or "coupon error", or something that implied that *they* had decided to cancel the order, but I'll promise you this, no one refused...

Yep, I know the PM drive is the 2MB cache BB drive, not the 8MB JB; and that it's a bare drive, not...
Is anyone using this card for drives >137BG? I'm thinking of doing a dual WD2000JB (@200GB) RAID 1 setup, but the WD page talks about needing 48-bit addressing for drives > 137GB, and even ships with a special Promise (non-RAID) Ultra ATA card. Will these big drives work with this Koutech RAID...
I'm thinking of buying 2 for a RAID 1 (mirrored) array. This is an awesome price - BVG strikes again!
My question regards the need for 48-bit addressing for drives > 137 GB. Would I be right in guessing that most RAID cards don't support that? Particularly cheap ones like this? Does this rule...
Granted, talk of class action is a joke. But as far as assuming these rebates weren't intended to be combined - the fact that one requires the original UPC, and the other a copy of the UPC, suggests otherwise.
Point taken re your intentions, Jaybert, and that you are in no way responsible for how folks use this form.
That said, I believe it's totally legitimate to still use it. Nobody has purchased the monitor when the rebate was no longer valid - based on the dates in the form, it is still valid. It...
Now that it's back in stock online, it should be pretty easy to score the $50 rebate, too. After all, the order was placed online, and you're submitting a real rebate form that Best Buy can't deny publishing. Copy here (great move saving this, Jaybert). They'll probably decline the rebate, but...
Got the Dell, very nice. Now I want a DVI card...
I don't do games, just 2D stuff, and have been quite happy with old Matrox cards (G400). So - can anyone recommend a cheap but adequate video card, with DVI?
Thanks!

The Dell 1800FP is now available (TODAY ONLY) for $451, including shipping, and ebates is good for another $9 off that. For high tax states like WA, this is just $7 more than the MicroTek. Details here.
Jennerstein, how does that side-by-side of these 2 monitors look?
Mine arrived Friday, but I didn't get a chance to install until last night. I replaced a BEFSR41, running pretty much stock. Changeover for wired routing took ~1 minute - unplug lan cables, plus into the 2624, plug in power, and I was browsing the web immediately. I just love it when stuff "just...
It sure seems to be happening slowly, but look slike it's still in the works. From Renton City Council minutes from 3 months ago:
Fry's Electronics has requested a
waiver of mitigation and utility connection fees totaling $295,171.07 in
association with the construction...
If you're considering buying this, you might want to consider the wireless version (Siemens SpeedStream 2624), which also has a screaming deal going on here for ~$33 + tax after $30 rebate.
I tried Renton, WA today - no sign of them. I talked to the bloke working there, asking about the 18" Microtek LCD monitors that were the week 47 feature. He said they only got 3, but they sold out. I asked when; he said Monday or Tuesday of *last* week. He seemed to know what he was talking...
I don't really care who wins the format war. Given similar compatability and media prices, I'm inclined to go for the cheapest decent burner available. If I end up backing the wrong horse? So what, I'll be buying another burner in a year or two thats 4 times as fast, at a quarter the price. The...

Hmmm... $50 to buy my own modem... to save $3 per month on my ATT Broadband Internet account. The savings don't seem worth it - are there any other reasons to buy this modem? Faster? more secure?
Hmmm... 1 cent/minute within the US - after a 49c connection fee. This works out cheaper than OneSuite only if your average call is 34 minutes or longer. As for international calls, factor in a connection fee between $1.25 and $2.
Not meaning to crap - this could work out cheaper for users...
Another vote for OneSuite, been using them a year, and they rock. I've never been unable to get through, but I do have a backup, just in case.
Best backup I've found is prepaid AT&T cards at Sam's Club. 600 minutes for $20.82, works out at 3.47c/minute US, and they never expire, and no extra...
What sort of hard drives in these puppies? Affects whether I spring the extra $20 for 40GB. If it's a QUIET Seagate drive, I'll upgrade, otherwise I'll get the cheapest and replace...
Thanks!
For infrequent users, eCallPlus refills, which work with the AT&T service, are a much better deal. The $20 card buys you 50 minutes, at 40c/minute (compared to 35c/minute for AT&T $25 card). But the big difference is that the minutes don't expire for 90 days. I make maybe 10-12 1-2 minute...
I'm as good at conjecture as the next guy, but was hoping that someone knows from experience... Does a Staples coupon that "Expires 6/14/02" expire at the start or end of 6/14? In other words, is this deal now dead, or does it have 24 hours still to run?
Thanks,
-jim.
Question - is it possible to install this scanner, without the PaperPort software? I don't want all that crap - just to be able to scan to the printer, or to a file.
