5600 ultra cards

looks to me like the MSI solution is pretty good. TheFX5600 VTDR128 card. It isnt ultra, but it does have the video input. Still dont know if that one is flipchip though. Any assistance would be appreciated.

where can I find a TRUE 5600 ultra?!

a lot of the regular 5600 boards say Ultra somewhere on it but are really not. or, what 5600 board is clocked higher? I'm looking for something clocked higher than my current 324 mhz board, and 550 mhz ddr or I guess I'll wait for a 300 dollar 5900. please offer advice. I'm looking for a card...

My GeForce FX 5600

the clock speed on my new leadtek 5600 FX card is 327mhz. I cant overclock even one mhz on the ram or gpu without artifacts. :( I did notice that it looks like I do not have the flip chip design that was pointed out as being a new feature of the 5600s in the latest FX article, which makes me...

Where do I get a back plate to fit my mobo?

I bought my new case for my system I am setting up and it didnt come with the correct back plate- the plate that fits around your inputs and outputs. The sound jacks are set up horizontally instead of vertically, and I purchased an 8RDA+, which has the jacks vertically... so I need a new one...

nForce2 board... which is right for me?

hmm, the epox board doesnt take advantage of the sound card, it has 3 1/8th inch ports, most likely spkr, line in, and mic... its a 5.1 chipset... this sucks for people that want their surround sound. Is this changed in any other motherboards?

http://www.realtek.com.tw/products/products1-2.aspx?modelid=30 just found this on the sound card. the audigy 2 has a noise ratio of over 100 db, and 24 bit, so it is a bit better, but still, this sound card is pretty good.

I need the LAN, I have a LIVE! sound card(would this be better than the built in sound on the epox?), I'll be using a GF2 until I can afford a GF4 or 9700, I will start out with 256 megs of ram, upgrade to 512 later, I'll be using a 40 gb hd, until I need more, hmm, what else... two cd drives...

Best Surround Sound Speakers?

altec lansing speakers RULE I have some side firing ones I got for 130 and they put out more sound than my parent's in home system. Then again, dual voice coils does add quite a bit..

try for the SB live! value. pretty much the same card with different software. I dont think the drivers are as nice, but thats about it.. and you dont get all those cool mixing programs.

Want to overclock an 800 T'bird.

I would suggest a better heatsink and fan. I've got an alpha on my t-bird 800. lotsa people have had heat being misreported lately.. not me, I just accidently fried my thermistor the first 2 seconds my machine was on. (what a thrill!) I know cooling is not an issue with my pal tho. you...

HELP, my cpu smells of rubber and won't turn on

get yerself a new processor. you can get a k-6/2 500 for about 60 bucks no prob. kinda sounds like youve been using a bad fan/heatsink combo for a long time and it finally died? That happened on my sis's comp, except it didnt die, it just randomly crashes. Its a cool subject to joke about in...

IBM 75GXP problem...

if ya have it hooked up to an ATA100 controller, try hooking it to a 66 one first, see if that works, if it does, install the drivers for the ATA100 over again, and try again.

Please post overclocking results for your T-bird 800 Socket A's

I havent fooled around with my 800 too much, but I can get it to post at 1 ghz. I installed win98 with it running 950. I have a PAL6035 :) I'm going to try to mess with FSB after I get some good ram. does anyone think I'll be able to run stable at 1Ghz?

will i see much temp difference with ALPHA PEP66 vs GORB?

from what I know, you should see a fair difference. probably 5-10 degrees, depending on setup. just wait, someone will flame me soon.... I wouldnt get the delta fan, just cuz its WAY TOO FRIGGIN LOUD.

the higher weeks actually have the pins removed, I think week 33 and above has the pins removed. I would say find an earlier week...
