    1T or higher mem speeds?

    Sorry if this has been covered but here's my question. Would it be better to run my mem at 1T 183MHz or 2T 227MHz? I've heard 1T is almost required, but so far I haven't noticed a diff. CPU speed is still king in my book, thus staying at 2.5GHz - Thanks!

    EPOX EP-9NPA+ Ultra VS. DFI nF4 Ultra-Infinity?

    Which memory is better for overclocking ?

    2GB would be nice if your going to be playing FEAR. I had 1.5GB with my old barton system and fear ran w/o swap file activity. Now with only 1GB in the new system it writes to swap quite often. I hope they optimize the retail game so its not such a memory hog.

    Soccerman; Funny you should say that... Back when I had my Slot A Athlon 500MHz in dead winter I opened my window, had a box fan blowing into my open case and clocked that sucker up to 950MHz. I ran it at 800MHz 24/7 with a flex pipe taped to my AC vent in my room running to the front of my case...

    So far my highest stable clocks are 460 core 520mem, it will run higher but I get errors. I've seen quite a few x800 overclocks with the core over 500 and the mem over 600. Is it the stock cooling holding me back, or just a card that doesn't overclock as well as others? Thanks! Sapphire x800...

    nForce 4 Ultra network card

    Is the NIC thats built into the 9NPA+Ultra any good? Ever since I installed this new mobo my DSL reports speed tests have been down around 3800k-4200k where as before I was closer to 6000k down (more like 53xxk).

    Trying 280HTT right now, 290 just doesn't seem to work. Vdimm is at 2.8V, chipset 1.6V, VCore ~1.5 - 1.55, mem set to 1T, cas 2.5, Trcd 3, Tras 8, Trp 3. Well, just looked over at my main pc and she's locked, so I guess 280 is going to be trouble too.

    I'll check out ThunderProbe. I couldn't get either version of USDM to work. I'm using the second to newest BIOS. For some reason the newest bios wouldn't take changes to alot of settings.

    I set it to 10 before I went to bed to really stress it, I wasn't going to be using it anyway :) I'd really like to see 2.7GHz, but I'm not sure if its going to happen yet. Perhaps better memory, PSU, and a better HS/F to give me that warm fuzzy feeling.

    Ok, primed all night long (about 8 hours) at 275HTT, 2475.3MHz. 280HTT would only prime for an hour or so. I'm sure somthing is holding me back at this point, however for ~$140 2475MHz isn't bad :) Now, from what I've read core clock is king on these chips. Is that true, or would you give up...

    Jiffylube: Managed to get HTT to quickprime at 280, thats with +.05V. HTT 290 would boot, but wouldn't prime, or run 3DM2K1 very long. Still haven't bumped up the chipset voltage yet. 280/x9/166/x3 doesn't seem too shabby atm :) ~720MHz more that I didn't have a few hours ago.

    well she primed (15 mins, priority 10), passed 3dmark2001 and 2005. I thought it was bad for the Venice to go over 1.6V? After the prime run I soft booted and bios read 42C, that means it had a few seconds to cool down, but still... I don't have anything to monitor temps from Windows yet. CPU-Z...

Please re-setting CPU frequency in the CMOS setup." "F1 to continue or Del to enter bios" and even though the bios values...
