stopped frequenting the forums because gpus was my jam and Wreckage used to spam his nvidia zealotry all over the place. simpler times.
also, kinda makes sense that guys like Rossman were lurking here. wonder which other big names had their early days in here
unless im missing something here, i get a) the premium on larger sizes, & b) that people can spend their money how they like - but 500k+ just seems like cseed thinks prospective buyers are mentally ill
ugh. you just persistently peddle your ignorance as gospel
Central banks have begun exploring how to move towards the blockchain world. Singapore's MAS has even completed an inter-bank pilot, to which they all are signed on as a consortium to use in future. the issues of regulatory compliance...
you live in a laughable bubble. an entire industry (Fintech) has sprung from cryptocurrencies. related to which, plenty of other industries are actively towards using blockchain to tap into the cc world
10-12 years from now, it is estimated that we would enter the 16k resolution realm (according to Richard Huddy). So let's assume 8k is mainstream by then.
Ask yourself if you feel your card would even breathe at that altitude
been waiting patiently for better audio since i heard AMD talk about TrueAudio a while back. definitely adds to the immersion if you have even a semi-decent audio setup
atticus14 you are correct. I (meant to but) did not qualify my statement more specifically - their drivers at release typically see a much greater range of improvement over time
my observation (and im open to correction) is that they still need to work on the maturity of drivers at the initial...
Thanks IEC. just checked HWC's review out
Moving on to DX12 and we see AMDs new architecture really coming into its own against the NVIDIA cards. It absolutely demolishes the GTX 970 across the board (even in NVIDIA-friendly games like Tomb Raider) and even manages to run circles around that...
yes i wasnt able to find much on it, so i thought i missed something. the card has a few aspects that does merit critique - power draw seems to be something that is unclear & all over the place right now.
but the campaign of consistent complaining from certain posters who threadcrap like...
apologies if ive missed it - but from a forward thinking perspective, how many games being tested have leveraged Dx12/ Vulkan?
in all this noise, im wondering if the true strength of the cards hasnt actually been touched yet?
quoted cookie stuffer spam post removed
If released anytime around Q4, im ready to buy. Curious to see if they will release a Nano variant - i would love to build a smaller rig this time around and still push a 4K display
Palmer's doing another AMA at r/PCMR, maybe ask any questions you like

Most accounts state it to be a noticeable IQ improvement. Personally i tend to notice colours & gradation more easily, so it's exciting and a must have, if the price sits well with the other monitor tech i am looking forward to
another vote for letting people have their choice. i choose to remove GFE and just do clean installs. any argument in its favour as a sole option is bizarre.
4. MS making it practically a no brainer for everyone from Win7 onwards to upgrade for free within the year, means devs will have a near guarantee on a large user base
i'd like to see a deep dive by AT at some point to understand how much of an evolution GCN has gone through. no one is expecting miracles - but perhaps the approach with Fiji will make more sense as time goes by.
particularly seeing a now realistic convergence of LiquidVR, TrueAudio &...
after thinking over it more, im arriving at the same conclusion - drivers and a card not built for older APIs. their marketing is slipping again imo, as they should be talking to sites and helping potential users understand what value prop they are going for. i do understand their budget...
their failure stemmed from pricing. they knew they were up against an excellent competitor in the 980Ti & should have reconsidered pricing, so it would adjust expectations. improvements will come over time & it would have made it a higher value card then. oh well.
This is a good enough card...
