Did you actually get it in a jewel case? Mine came in one of those thick DVD sized cases like mshan mentioned. I haven't opened mine yet but I assume there no manual inside.
Thanks OP!
I just picked up a copy from my local Circuit City.
I've read many positive reviews of this game and the $9.99 price is great.
As a general caution, the learning curve is supposed to be pretty steep but that's not unusual for flight sim games.

Thanks for the helpful information. I'll be installing a 3800+ x2 in my K8N. Does anyone know if that CPU would allow DDR400 memory to run at DDR400?
Bob
Yes, I would also like to read of other K8N owner's experiences with different RAM combinations. I was was going to install a single 1 GB stick and two 256 MB sticks of DDR400/PC3200 since I already have those on the shelf. But now I'll have to make sure that's OK. And at some point I'll want...
Thanks for that caution! I nearly bought some DDR400 ram without checking to see what's compatible with the K8N. I figured that I could use any type of DDR400.
Looking at the "Recommended Memory Combination List" at MSI.com it looks like you can use DDR400 in all four slots as long as it's...
OK! I bought a "non-geeks" K8N motherboard and the following CPU:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Toledo 2.0GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket 939 Processor - OEM
Thanks for all the great information in this thread!
Bob
Thanks for the helpful advice. I have a DVD burner and a 200 GB PATA hard drive ready to use.
I'll definitely check out the K8T NEO2-F board that you linked.
Bob
I have 3 GB of PC3200 ram and I was thinking of building a new PC around a K8N NEO4-F.
For a somewhat decent gaming PC, could anyone recommend a good "bang for the buck" CPU and PCI-E graphics card to pair with this? I was thinking something like a $95 7600GT and one of those $96 Opteron 165...
Too many hoops for the rebate and no recourse if they misplace part of your rebate paperwork.
Re-submission for missing materials will not be accepted
Bob
I'm thinking about building an all-new system with an emphasis on "bang for the buck".
Would this be a good CPU to start with?
If so, what motherboards match up well with this? (I don't expect to overclock, if that's a factor.)
Bob
Thanks for the very helpful reply. I've been considering the 7600GT since I've seen them on sale, after rebates, for less than $100 over the last month or so. My one hesitation was that there have been many complaints about the noisy fan on this card.
I'll take a closer look at the other...
Thanks for the info!
Does anyone have suggestions on what might be a solid "Bang for the Buck" CPU to pair with this board for a decent gaming system? I'd like to be able to run Elder Scrolls Oblivion with reasonably high settings. For a videocard, I'd probably pick up something like a...
I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons of buying a bulk-packed MB compared to a retail packaged board.
Do hard drive cables typically ship with retail drives?
Do the mounting standoffs typically come with the MB or do they come with the cases?
And, aside from the drive cables, user...
That's excellent news! I'll keep an eye out for the other coupon book.
If it doesn't turn up, I can always request the TurboTax coupon from the customer service desk.
Bob
In my experience, the Costco TurboTax deals with the instant discount coupons are hard to beat.
The big office supply stores like Staples, OfficeMax and Office Depot typically offer combo deals where you can get other software titles free after rebate. So you might want to check those out...
How does this combo compare with the $59.99 ECS MB and AMD 2800+ deals that Fry's has been running for several weeks? Is this worth the extra $40? (The $59.99 combo does not include the HSF)
I have a pile of spare parts sitting around and I want to build a spare PC. This includes an older...
I sent the same exact email requesting a new HL2 key to Vivendi from two different email addresses. They sent a new key to one email address and they told me to contact Steam in a reply sent to the other email address.
So they can be inconsistent.
Bob
I bought Half Life 2 during the first $0.99 deal and my key arrived used. I sent jpeg image files of everything to hlcdkeys@vugames.com (aka Vivendi) and, about a week later, I received a new key. But I had to email them two additional times and didn't get any sort of reply before the key...
