Running a legacy Intel CPU at clock speeds lower than spec.

Waiting for AIB Vega cards (w/Custom Coolers)? Well...be prepared to keep on waiting.

Is it the $499 or $399 MSRP we're talking about? Same here. Could've had Sapphire Fry's for as low as $220. Undervolt it, and you are within 10% of GTX 1070.

IMO, Windows 7 didn't feel much faster than Windows XP. It doesn't really offer any significant advantages that a well kept Windows XP system had (Windows 98/ME to XP, OTOH.... wow that was a huge difference). I think Windows 7 to Windows 10 was a far bigger leap in terms of snappiness and...

Best GPU for Dell XPS 9100 with 990X CPU and 24GB RAM?

You can try eBay or the FS/T forum here (look for a reputable seller). Right now, the best bet would be a Maxwell, as they comparatively suck at mining but good for gaming. E.g. GTX 970/980. But all VR capable GPU's are inflated price now due to the mining craze. Long term best bet is to wait...

How long do you think it will take for DDR4 ECC RDIMMs to achieve surplus pricing?

Depends on speed grade. RDDR4-2133 is already pretty cheap. RDDR4-2666 is barely even out and really f'ing expensive.

I don't know how the other RX 480's do it, but I'm at 1300/2000 core/mem on a MSI RX 480 4GB and only get about 22.5 MH/s. Which apparently from above, is only on par with a GTX 1060 (makes you wonder why Radeon's are going for so much more). Also, anyone notice the huge Litecoin price spike...

How do you even fit more than 2 high powered mining systems in a single room? At least most rooms in the US are using 15A breakers. So 15A * 120V = 1800W.

Because they were literally 8GB cards with 2000 Mhz rated memory. IIRC, RX 480 4GB uses cheaper memory as default speed is only 1750 MHz.

So is core clock mostly irrelevant for Eth mining? Seems like overclocking memory is way better in terms of hash rate. Unfortunately I bought 4GB RX 480's, so the memory caps around 2050 or so.

Recommendations for Freesync 1440p 144Hz Monitor?

I've browsed Newegg, and apparently all 2560x1440 monitors are at least 27". Are there any smaller ones? I'd prefer under 24". At the minimum, I also need height adjustment and color quality to be bearable. Are there any upcoming models I should wait for?

Graphical corruption: How do you know if it's hardware, or software?

Maybe cards just die with age? I have an ATI Radeon X1900 XTX. It goes into Windows just fine. Does the D3D tests and some limited (non-game) 3DMark tests fine. But fire up the full 3DMark game tests or any game and it will corrupt in seconds. I should try lowering the core speed on that as well.

I can't help but wonder if it's a Global Foundaries problem, period. Fury X is about the same size as a GM200 (980 Ti/Titan X), and transistor count is 12% more. While GM200 seems to overclock quite well, the Fury X is sometimes throttling at stock (1050Mhz, with a liquid cooler)...

I actually think R9 Fury is a great architecture - with quirky oddities: 1. The 4GB HBM limitation made a questionable upgrade path from R9 290X. 2. AMD seems to have terribly underestimated Maxwell. If you kept Fury at 900 MHz, its perf/watt is actually really good (matching Polaris refresh)...

Are integrated graphics really faster than the 5570 now?

I saw that on a [ H ] post over a year back. It's still not in production. It's definitely a great idea. Taking a mATX board and designing it as if it were ITX (e.g. using SFX power supply). I think AM4 ITX boards will come before that sees the production.

I guess never buy high PPI laptop with Intel graphics.

This is a problem with Chrome. Google has absolutely zero incentive to optimize Chrome on Windows, as they want you to use Chromebooks and for some magical reason, everything runs silky smooth. Depending on Chromium version, I've also had issues with Ubuntu 16.04 LTS as well.
