i'm with techgod, who gives a crap, the 240gb ssd's are cheap and getting cheaper, just keep your important stuff on some redundant backup, and don't sweat it.

Why does the iphone not sell more than androids in the Western world?

the OP is invalid, android is an OS, not a device android, is deployed on various platforms, with varying functionality, you cant really compare a $25 low end phone to an iphone

Do Gaming laptops let you update graphics drivers from Nvidia/AMD?

just download the driver package and extract it to a folder, winrar or 7zip are better that winzip at this. after that, tell windows to update the driver for your VGA adapter, and point it to the folder and let windows do the rest

Nvidia driver install hangs

there was a generation of detonators that a lot of people had trouble with, so this was my fix. people have forgotten how to install drivers, the just rely on the executable, it's nice if it removes the old drivers and "works" . the old days when the floppy that came with your hardware...

Transfer VHS to PC

it depends on how many you need to transfer, there are services that will convert, if you only have a few or if you have a lifetime, i got this stand alone unit, and just set it up in a spare room. once the video is digitized, it's much easier to handle i never had much luck with the PC...

+1 for PS, another thing to do is inspect the mainboard for swollen/leaky caps, especially around the voltage regulator. look also at cooling/airflow but typically temps would lead to bluescreens

GTX960 vs 950 for HTPC use

if your 560 is working, wait a couple of weeks for prices to stabilize the 950 price is stupid, the MSI 960 @ newegg for $160AR is the one right now, but i think others will follow suit or shove that 950 down to $130 or so

i would go as far as to call it a mid-range student PC due to 4gb ram, have not seen the gateway logo in some time. KDS-the monitor company purchased E-machines some years back and took it private, they then bought gateway i believe.
