SATA WD Raptor - Power Question

Hi, I picked up some WD Raptors from Craigslist, and now realize taht they have both SATA and Molex power connects. Do I need to connect both? Or can I just use the molex? Thanks much.

yah, so I guess my question is, Is a T1 really worth it? Like will I get a good speed boost or anything like that? At this point in time, it looks like I'llb e going DSL b/c T1 doesn't seem like it's worth it, I'm doing research on the net instead of working right now. :-p

Using a Router to Network 2 Computers together (no Internet Connection or Cable Modem) IS IT POSSIBLE?

Just to make sure: You have to have the router plugged in to a power source for it to work.

Yes, it's fine. If you really want to be assured, why don't you try connecting your computers to teh router and pulling the plug on the Internet? If it works, it'll work on the road. ::Drools:: i can just imagine playing WC3 at 80 miles an hour while barreling down the I-5. Muahahaha...

We're moving into an apartment soon and I was wondering if maybe a T1 connection or DSL might be the way to go? Heck, can i even get a T1 connection in an apartment? But let's just imagine I can, is there a benefit to T1 or is sticking with DSL a better option?

What brand memory does Dell use for DDR2?

Same thing as in the title and summary. Just have this desire to find out what brand of memory Dell uses. Specifically for DDR2. Another question along that line is whether Dell is shipping the new 8400 (with PCI-E) or if they're just taking pre-orders.

high octane in a toyota corolla?

Well unless you put in a really expensive race car engine in your car, 93-octane won't make any difference. For your Corolla, if your engine pings a lot, i'd say maybe go with 89 but... yah 87 should be fine. I think the difference between the octanes is that hte higher ones supposedly...

Can I mount an A/C Sideways?

The Bay Area is so hot! Grrr, but I have this problem where I have a window opening that is 15.5 inches wide. There aren't that many A/C units that will fit such a narrow space so is there anything preventing me from mounting an A/C unit sideways?

I'd be really wary of the ECS mobo's. Case in point: go to Fry's and see what kind of motherboards are in the Returns line. Most of them will be ECS. THe quality control on these boards are horrible and even though some people do like this board, it seems there are more people who have problems...

Wow the price hasn't really gone down at Fry's on this combo... I ended up getting the 2100+ and ECS combo for $150 about 2 months back. Not a bad deal if that mobo is overclockable... I've had really really good results with the Epox 8rda+, went from a 1.7ghz to a 2.4ghz.
