    Alos, can you connect to the NAS via FTP internally? If you can't, then you need to resolve that first. If you can but can't do it externally, then you need to check your routing.. Also, does it have built in FTP capability? I am not that familiar with Samba.

    I had this same thing happen to me. Mine wa son a MSI K8N Neo Platinum as well (but not a Neo4). It was bad memory and I ended up having a bad memory slot on the board. Try removing the memory closest to the processor first, that is where mine was at.

    I do recall that I had to load drivers or software of some sort, it always found it as a generic drive and not what i wanted. i think I got software either off the net or on a CD. i will check when i can get a chance for you.

    XP no longer wants to read FAT32 HDDs...

    no idea why it happens, but i have have a Fat 32 do the same thing. I even reformatted it as fat 32, added data and went to another XP machine that told me the same error. i formatted it as NTFS, no more issue.

    If that does not work, the drive board may be dieing and this is what is causing the issue. What you can attempt is to find another drive with the same specs (and I mean the exact same) and verify that the PCB board is the same id as well. Swap the boards and test it out. May or may not work...
