May have been related in that tasks from another project were paused on some machines and therefore work queue was not big enough, but all is resolved now.
Sorry I missed out I have been busy lateley, not that it would have mattered much since I don't have any quality nvidia gpus. I will have to make the august event.
I tried to use an xml primegrid file from another computer but that didn't work because I assume there a computer identifier in there some where that was not correct since its obviously a different host. The only identifier I could find seemed to be user specific and not host. There was some...
Auestion is are the wu files somewhere and if so when i reinatall the program will they get overwritten or can I move them temporarily to save them and relocate them back when primegrid is reinstalled.
ohh no. my main rig crashed (unrelated to boinc I believe but maybe not) and now prime grid isnt even listed under projects in boinc....there go many wu or is there a way to get them back?
old message from two weeks ago it looks like but it does imply that 3 day outages are weekly : Weekly Outage and Initial Catch Up
Every Tuesday morning (Pacific time) we begin a 3 day data distribution outage to focus on science processing and development plus any needed systems maintenance...
They have an undisclosed policy, at least they did, that you have to call them to get the rebate since they will never send it by themselves even if it was approved. They stated on the phone there was a 1 rebate from zotac per your lifetime not per item!! I know they have gotten a lot of flak...
Ill have to look around but it looks like the astropulse for osx is only for the old v5 so it will not work. None others are listed so I suppose the osx rigs will have to run stock or in bootcamp mode ;/ which would be to inconvenient to do.
Thanks this is helpful! I can use the installer for the windows machines but I believe I will have to manually edit the xml file for the osx machines? once this seti server is back up I'll play around and see what i can get functioning. As for gpu ussage I have all amd save a 9800 gt that is...
been a while since i did this does anyone have input (example) how to edit the xml? Do we have to copy executables into the same folder that has the xml file. I have been looking for osx examples with no luck but I have to do this for windows machines too so maybe looking for that will yield...
Well at least the TeAm did about is good as we could without maybe 4 more crunchers like Petrus. I haven't looked ahead but with the amount of races that incorporate nvidia crunching I think this race will probably be my best.
well I have some rigs that were set to 1 days work early on and have now been changed to .01 buffer...Flush will occur before the end of the race hopefully that will also help.
luckily I was checking albeit no often, my 2500K got stuck on 4 wu and was crunching away on 4 that were at over 4 hours!! Once I ended processes and restarted boinc looks to be back on track :/
ohh I guess I didn't refresh the page...Thanks! Wish I had more but no other ubuntu rigs at the moment and all that vmware stuff has been wiped out from a year or two ago with reinstalls.
Congrats all!! Too bad I have no nvidia crunchers...poor showing for me the last race but I have some ati to throw around if we get some races next year that are optimized for that. My rigs are aging fast though...need to hit up a microcenter soon ^_^.
Yes I have some WU that will be a four minutes short ..dohh.. and one of my rigs became unstable for this race, it just doesn't like these WU (stable on other projects). Hopefully we both get top 100 and score some individual points!!
