I'm really happy with my 165 Opteron but it's really only an option if your willing to overclock it. Thats the value of the 165, it has a rep for overclocking like mad. If you want a cheap boost overclock the chip you have. There is probally several hundred MHZ just waiting to be used.
Hi, I was having the same trouble. The issue for me was the "auto" memory timings in the bios. I read somewhere on the net this could be an issue. Aparently the bios can at times auto pick the wrong settings when overclocking.
Anyway, I manually put in all the timing settings and it made...
I've been fooling with my 165 Opy/Neo4 for awhile now. I can't reach more than 9 x HTT: 285 with a Mulit of 3x with 3.3v bump. I upped the volt's one more time but didn't see any real increase and I was uncomfortable with the temps. Plus, at that setting the memory is still way below ddr400. I...
Ok, I reset my modem and rebooted both systems. I discoverd that which ever one boots first grabs the cable signal and wont share with the other. Right now I'm typing this on the MSI board but my old sys can't get a signal. Any thoughts?
They are set to obtain ip automatically. I'm not finding any settings that are different between my sys thats connecting and the new one thats not ? I'm not using a router just a simple 10/100 switch to split the connection.
Ya, I've run thru the internet options connections setup 3 or 4 times now... using the MSI Ispeed program it shows i'm receiving an average of 7.2 kbits a second! I'm hoping it's just a check box or something I've missed. Also running microsofts firewall but I turn it off and thats no help...
Hi, yes it's lit up. If I unplug it, right away the little box pops up saying I have lost the connection..... I'm stumped! Oh, I still running the stock bios.
Hey guys I really need some help!!! I'm up and running but can't connect to the internet. This is my first Nvidia board in years so I'm not exactly positive how things should look. I loaded xp and then sp2 from a disk, then loaded the nvidia board drivers from msi's site ck804, and lastly the...
Yep, it's giving me one beep. I've reseated everything at least five times. I've even tried it out of the case. Isolated it just to one drive, one stick of ram, 8800 and cpu and no go.
Well, my board arrived a few days ago. I plugged in a new 165 opy and an 8800, xms400 and pushed the power button. Fans spun up and hear the hd start but thats it. Nothing shows up on the monitor. Also using a brandnew silverstone 650w ps. Trouble is I don't know if its the card, board, or...
There was no waiting two months for me. I sold my 1950pro agp when my MB blew a cap. I've been working from my backup sys since. Last thing on my list was a new card.
Newegg had one listed now for $339 You can get the 640 version for $15 more after rebate. Hardly worth it at this price.

* Just noticed they have a bunch up at $299
Yep, think it's great. Games look and run great, the fan isn't any louder than the 9800 pro it replaced. Have to say this thing doesn't put out much heat at all. I put my hand under the fan and it's actually cool but it's only about 70 in my house.
can being under 4a cause problems for the card in the future. I can do 3200 at stock voltage. Temps rise a few in games, I don't have the best heatsink/fan setup. I've got three hdrives and two dvd burner/players
I've been playing Oblivion and some COD2 last night and most of the morning...
I just installed a Sapphire 512 card last night in my 2500 barton rig that oc'ed to 3000. It replace a 9800 pro. A few weeks ago i ran the first test of 3dmark with the 9800 and got 0-4 fps. "Mostly 0-2" I ran it last night and was getting 12-24fps. * I didn't fool with any card setting...
My Sapphire 512mb card arrived last night. Plugged it into my old Antec 430 ps and it fired right up without a hitch. I was playing COF2 15 min after opening the box. It's so much better than the 9800 pro it replaced. Feels like I got a new system again! Money well spent IMO...
Not sure about the laws in NY. Sounds like if your in and/or around it you own it.
More than likely they talked with you and you partner at lenght prior to the arrest being made. Cops are allowed to ask question to figure out whats going on. So, once the cuffs were put on there was no real...
