[Rumor] RX 480 Overclocking 1500+Mhz

Since EK is going to release full WB for RX480 soon, anyone wanna speculate how far can it OC under water with this 6 pin card, if I'm not wrong EK RX480 WB is for reference card.

BF3 patch includes 7xxx series perf improvements

4Ghz 2500K on Operation Firestorm 64 players map. Almost fully loaded on CPU all of time, no wonder my crossfire scaling is not fully utilized because BF3 itself needs much more CPU power on 64 players map.

Thanks for the tips, I'll try it later on. For me the stuttering is so bad and it isn't funny. During heavy battle framerate can dip down to 40fps, massive stuttering and jerky, on 64 players btw. A single 7970 is actually more playable than 2 7970 xfire, I'm currently playing at single card...

Because it's stuttering and slowing down during heavy battle, and the worst part is that both cards also utilize 50-60% when heavy battle, but around 80% when nothing much happens on the screen. I don't think you'll be happy when you've spent thousand for both cards and get this kinda...

Any idea how to fix it? I run Heaven benchmark and both cards utilized 99% all the time, but for BF3 this's different story. I also clocked both card at 1125, it'll a little better than stock, but still suck b/c both cards are still running at 50-70%.

I don't know why people keep saying that 4Ghz is enough for crossfire for BF3. I'm running 2 X 7970 crossfire at 4Ghz(2500k), 1080p max with only FXAA(no MSAA yet), OSD shows that I only managed to run both cards around 50%-60% most of the time, and it's stuttering and even at 60fps it feels...

Apparently 7970 is good for watercooling. Huge overclocking headroom, 20% overclocking without touching the voltage, just imaging overvoltage plus boost performance on mature driver in future, I would say it'll be at least 40% faster than 580 eventually.

Weird 2500k temp

Taken from HWMonitor, still high temp at idle and stock speed. My ram is G.Skill RipJaws DDR3-1600 4GB, and ram can cause CPU temp skyrocket? First time I hear that though.

Weird 2500k temp

My 2500k has a very high idle temp(50c on CoreTemp/RealTemp), and if I run Prime95 on it, it can hit nearly 80c-90c. I tried to reapply MX4 tim and reseat the HSF properly, and result remains the same. Eventually I downloaded SpeedFan because I wanted to see other temps, turned out funny...

WD 500G HDD weird sound problem

ST-56F, I don't think PSU is the problem as I don't have problem to overclock my system and 8800GT, either it's the driver problem or the card itself.

How about sub0zero cooling on E21X0? I heard that with sub-zero cooling u can push the FSB wall further, so in this case should I get E2140 or E2180?

Isn't that IP35-E suffered from cooling problem at NB and SB? IP35-E is a FSB 1333, but if u said it can only reach 500MHZ FSB then it's kinda dissapointed. Also GA-P35-DS3L has All-Solid Capacitor which look like a good thing for me.

P3B-F can't boot up!!!

Tannah, that's what I did while I do troubleshooting, I only plug in the CPU, video card and ram on the m/b, this should be sufficient to let it boot up at least at bios screen. And I'm sure that my CPU, video card and ram are fine because its works on the other system, so the only one remaining...

P3B-F can't boot up!!!

Something strange with this m/b. It won't boot up to bios screen, and I can't hear any beep sound too. But if I unplug the CPU or display card, some weird sound will come out, it's like an ambulance or police's sound. For this few days I tried to fix it but I didn't even get it boot once...

Worth to jump ship?

Worth to jump ship?

I'm a Celeron Tualatin user, running 1.1A@1584mhz(144X11) on MSI BX Master along with the MSI 6309 Slotket. So far I'm quite please with this setup, but is it worth to switch it to AMD AXP 1600 and o/c it at least 166mhz FSB? Will I get a significant performance gain compare with my current setup?

Celeron Tualatin Overclocking - What is Better?

Mem timing at 3 might let you have an impressive overclocking result, but performance wise, mem setting at 2 outperform it at no times. It's advisable to stick with 2, especially if you're seeking for higher benchmark score in 3dmark2001. My m/b is MSI BX Master, it doesn't have much PCI/AGP...

AkumaX, what m/b that you're using? Also what mem timing that you're using? 160fsb sounds incredible to me though, I managed to run my Cel 1.1A at 144fsb, with 2-2-2 mem timing.
