Yes, this I have noticed with leakers, you don't know when they are leaking stuff or just speculating. Despite new info I still think what I speculated on my previous post is accurate.

So...
Yep, slightly below 50% as I don't expect perfect scaling from clock increase, but could be higher if AMD pushes clocks.
I had Navi21 at 275W and 45% faster than Geforce 2080 ti, it ended up at 300W and 35% faster than Geforce 2080 ti, so for me it was below expectations. That's why I'm going...
Based on the latest rumors this is what I'm at.
Navi 31 = 160CU, 256bit bus
Navi 32 = 120CU, 192bit bus
Navi 33 = 80CU, 128bit bus
They all will have infinity cache/3D cache to make up for the lack of memory bandwidth. Rdna3 will need 1.2x higher ipc and 1.3x clock increase to reach 2.5x...
It might not matter ek2121 is suggesting we could see very high clocks for RDNA3, then it's possible to hit those +2.5x performance target.
I'm still 80CU's per chiplet despite there been some speculation on small chiplets like 8x20 or 4x40CU for navi31, because of the MacOS leak.
Gamers are...
The problem is you don't get perfect scaling increase CU's and clocks. We can see this comparing 5700xt and 6900xt, 6900xt is about 2x faster despite 1.18x higher clocks.
A 1.13x ipc and 1.13x clock gain would land in the 2.1x area for average performance increase, so to me 240CU's make more...
You're the dude that spread the 160CU's rumor, I don't see what MI200 has anything to do with RDNA3, I don't follow that stuff.
What is the different between navi31 and Navi32 you think?
I think all 3 of them were talking about gaming performance (raster) and not RT or Teraflops. People are mentioning RT or Teraflops because 2.5x does indeed look very high.
I consider Kitty just as reliable as Kopite this is why I think we're looking at 240CU's for Navi31 after his latest tweet...
It's possible that the I/O die is 6/7nm and that's why AMD saying "advanced node".
We now have kopite saying Rdna3 is a bigger increase over RDNA2 than RDNA2 was over RDNA1. Kitty saying RDNA3 is aiming over 2.5x performance and Redgamingtech also saying it's over 2.5x.
Based on the MacOs...
Okey now that Navi 14 is released we can make very accurate guesses on the new cards, this is my list:
Navi apu = 12CU 7nm (no 7nm+)
Navi 10 = 40CU 7nm
Navi 14 = 24CU 7nm
Navi 12 = 80CU HBM2e (will be no gddr6 cards)
Navi 21 = 56CU 7nm+ RDNA2
Navi 23 = 112CU 7nm+ RDNA2
Everything points to...
Yes RDNA2 but I will probably make some minor changes to my lineup based on new info from videocardz/wccftech and moores law dead youtube video, but I want confirmation first. Might post it anyway as videocardz is very reliable.
I actually got that one wrong, suppose to be 112CU, all cards are based on this Navi 10 layout
https://hothardware.com/ContentImages/Article/2874/content/small_navi-die.jpg
But wccftech latest leak about mobile navi cards indicates this navi 10 layout by AMD is just a dummy and not real. As...
Things are looking very good for me, this has been my prediction for some time now.
Navi apu = 12CU 7nm+
Navi 14 = 24CU 7nm, 128-bit bus ggdr6
Navi 10 = 40CU 7nm, 256-bit bus ggdr6
Navi 12 = 56CU 7nm, 256-bit bus ggdr6 but 512 GB/s memory speed
Navi 21 = 80CU 7nm+, ray-tracing with HBM
Navi...
Guys late April Nvidia released drivers improving its Gpus in Strange brigarde about 15% in 1440p and 25% in 4k. This radeon card performances should land exactly at 2070 or slightly below.
Check hardwareunboxed latest radeon 7 vega video for performances confirmation and here is linked to the...
Navi 10 (mid-range) will have 40CU's with 11 Teraflops and performance a bit under Geforce 2060 is my guess.
Navi 11 will be a low-end card with 18-20CU's, why people confusing about Navi 14? that wasn't in the leaked roadmap?
PS5 specs, 8core Zen2 clocked at 3,2ghz, Navi gpu with 36CU clocked at 1,8ghz giving 8,3TF, 12GB gddr6 Vram and 1TB ssd. Fall 2020 $400
Is this possible?
Not sure if you mean me, there's no source, I just looked at a youtube video that was getting upwards 140fps with ryzen 2700x and here is another picture with same setting amd claims.
Amd zen2 was getting about 110-120fps.
They did show Forza horizon 4 with Vega VII. Looks like Zen2 8 Core cpu will have between 10-15% less gaming performance than ryzen 2700x.
This reminds me of Vega gpu where AMD showed disappointing gaming performance in Doom and SW: BF2 (equal to an geforce 1080). Amd might be doing the same...
Adoredtv:s leak never mentioned a I/O die, it was just speculation from adored himself. And it always been obvious why, it adds latency and that kills gaming performance.
I think it Zen2 will be similiar to Threadripper, 2 dies with 8 cores sewed into a total package. That's why we should not...
This post makes a lot of sense, I just wanna add 2 things, we don't know if Navi 20 is real, from what I could find it's originated from the site Fudzilla. And we know that Navi 11 exist from a leaked roadmap, I assume Navi 11 is Mobile/desktop APU as Vega11 was.
About Navi 12 I'm guessing you...
No Amd won't beat intel, Intel has 18% IPC advantage when it comes to gaming and a decent clock advantage.
Compare intels i7-8700k (6/12 core cpu) with amds 2600x (6/12 core cpu) and you see 18% IPC advantage for intel in gaming. Those charts show 2,8ghz clocked with turbo-boost disabled...
- $/performance is actually worse than pascal.
- Energy effiency is about 0-20% better depending on games (sweclockers test actually showed 2080 having worse effiency than 1080 ti).
- Performance/mm2 seems to be slightly worse too.
- 2 games showed pretty big improvements, Hellblade and...
So far Turing just seems unimpressive, absolutely no increase in performance/mm2 might even be a decrease if you factor in they using 12nm node. Energy effiency seems like a decent improvement though, I'm guessing about 40% but we don't know how much 12nm node is contributing to that...
All digital coins will go down to 0 value. Only reason why people are buying these coins is to sell them at a higher price later. When everyone realize this, the prices will collapse. Digital coins has no value except this ponzi-scheme and price manipulation.
Tell me why I'm wrong.
Yeah I screwed up my thinking, was thinking of the chip. 2x ccx is atm 200mm2 on 14nm and will probably be about 125mm2 on 7nm despite 3x scaling improvement, that's what I meant and it's unlikely we see any kind of 4-core ccx because of this.
Stuff just doesn't scale perfectly, a 4-core ccx would not be 50mm2 on 7nm but more likely 125mm2, while a 6-core ccx would be 150mm2. This is because the cpu cores scales good but there is random stuff in the chip that don't scale well at all. So I put the odds we seeing some kind of 4-core ccx...
Do we know yet how many cores the CCX will have?
What I gathered from the most reliable rumors on the internet, the server ccx will have 8 cores and the desktop will have 6 cores.
I'm not a hardware engineer but the server die will have 4 chip with each having 2x ccx giving it a total 64 cores...
This "rumour" is very likely just a educated guess where the author claims to have a source. What he missed is Gddr6 can do 256 bit bus width on 12GB of ram which is more likely than 16gb ram.
My guess is 2080/1180 will have 12 gb of ram on 192/256 bit bus width.
Maybe I should sell my geforce 1070 and go back to my geforce 970 but prices here in sweden is the same as launch day.
Price for ethereum is expected to 5x this year from current levels. I don't understand how cryptocurrencies get their values. Doesn't someone actually haft to buy these...
"AmdisTheBEST" Things you are describing are just pointless complaints. Download a 2gb movie? Are you from the 80s? Using Utorrent, stop doing illegal stuff on your phone. Hopefully cops get you very soon and bust your ass. File manager? what on earth do you need that for, it's pointless. Third...
Another source saying Volta is being dropped for Ampere.
http://www.3dcenter.org/news/nvidia-ueberspringt-volta-im-gaming-bereich-und-bringt-im-q22018-gleich-die-ampere-generation
Used a translation tool so everything I write might not be 100% accurate. A natural born speaking german can...
After further thoughts, Ampere is probably just the successor to Volta. It will be announced at GTC 2018 but we won't see any gpus from this architecture intill 2019 and it will be on 7nm. Volta Geforce still will be released at feb-march with gddr6.
Most likely "Ampere" is volta replacement which will be announced on GTC 2018. It will be 10 nm and replace GV100.
I still believe we will see volta geforce Gpus in feb-march with gddr6. Keep in mind regarding this rumor that Nvidia never launches geforce cards at GTC events. So this Ampere...
This is what you hate about pc-gaming. Old hardware ages hilariously fast. Geforce 1060 twice the performance compared to geforce 970 when they should be about equal. Fury X should be about 40% faster than radeon 580 but is 30% slower :).
You always forced to buy the latest gpu architecture or...
