Wow that's great. Did you open any of the other case openings (side/top) to allow some airflow or did you leave them all closed? Also how do you have your psu set, sucking air in from the bottom or from inside the case?

Heatsink Issues with Asus P8P67 Deluxe

Anyone here have a p8p67 and a scythe mugen 2? How's the clearance for the ram slots. Didn't think about it and bought http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231428 now I'm worried about clearance with the ram's heatsink fins :(

Anyone with a p8p67 and a Scythe Mugen 2?

If so, how's the clearance for ram? I've been reading some people say it's fine, others say it blocks one or more slots on this board.

I'm not getting anything yet, I ordered all the parts last night. Hopefully they'll all be here middle of next week. btw what's with nexus fans, no good? Been out of pc building for awhile so I don't know the brands like I used to.

So keep the front fan sucking in, change the back fan to sucking in, mount the psu with it sucking air out of the case instead of in from the bottom, and just remove thr cover from the top fan slot but I shouldn't have to put a fan in it?

Powercolor PCS+ 6870 Louder than it should be, could power supply be to blame?

Powercolor PCS+ 6870 Louder than it should be, could power supply be to blame?

I purchased a powercolor pcs+ 6870 for my computer because based on reviews, the card is supposed to be basically silent at idle, and barely any louder under load. I installed the card in my computer, turned it on, and the sound coming from it is definitely not quiet. It almost sounded to me...

Ok to plug a 6-pin pci-8 cable into a 8-pin slot on my card?

Nice, thanks for the help, booted up my system and nothing caught fire so that's a good start ;) Seems to be working fine, any suggestions for a GPU stress test I can run, want to make sure it's stable with the 6 pin. Or even better a test that will run the whole system hard, cpu and GPU...

Price Drop! Panasonic TH42PX60U Plasma 42" now $1027 + tax at Frys.com

A tip to people getting this, when watching SD in 4:3 mode, you can turn the gray bars off on the side, looks a lot better (of course, I may have been the only one who didn't realize this, and watched tv with the gray bars for a few hours today :) )

Xbox 360 game Dead Rising!! Sweet price!

Great price on a fun game. If you don't like it at first, stick with it, I thought it was stupid for the first hour or two, after that I got into it and was hooked.

Best 939 Heatsink/Fan?

I've got a XP-90 on my 3800+, been running high 40s/low 50s idle, and into the 60s during load since I got it around 6 months ago, never had a problem, you'll be fine.

Fuji Finepix F10 at B&M Walmart stores - 225$

I got a F10 when target had the price mistake (a bit lower than this, it was $200). Very happy with the picture quality, except once in awhile, it seems almost too eager to show off how well it can do in low light, and takes a high iso picture when a lower one with a flash would have looked better.

XP Pro sitting at "Loading Personal Settings" for 25-30 seconds, then.....

Duh, I always forget to check event viewer. Not quite sure why, but for every windows startup I had a problem, there are about 25 system errors "cdrom". Ejected the dvd I have in the drive (and have had in there for weeks), restarted, worked beautifully, thanks a lot.

Am I ok with these temps on my 3800 X2?

One question I keep forgetting to ask, how hot should the x2 3800 be compred to a 3200+ ? Because I used the exact setup on it, and my temps were a lower (a degree or two at idle, but like 7 or 8 lower at load)
