I couldn't disagree more. I've re-played all of the original 3 very recently. Thief 1 and 2 are still fantastic. They hold up very well. Thief 3 was a lot worse than I remembered. I would rank it the worst of the series by far. Even below the new Thief.
Guess you haven't heard there was a new patch released? No more DDfix necessary and a bunch of other fixes for modern hardware. This patch is so deep it has to have been released by one of the former developers.
