    Power cycling the monitor doesn't help once it goes into powersave mode. I'm not sure about the POST state. I assumed since XP started to load it was past the point where the POST would affect anything. I am unsure though.

    Not sure when this started but I can't associate it with any change to the system settings in bios or otherwise.     The board is an ABIT Kr7A and the manual SAYS it will accept ECC memory. I'm starting to suspect that I don't have the memory set to SPD in bios and so it isn't probing the new ram to config itself. I am going to boot with my old ram and reset bios to SPD...hoping that is all that is wrong...
