ie7 sucks, beta at best. can not access taskbar in full screen, will not save paswords, u have to sign in to sites every frigging time. i ditched the half baked pos.

Try installing microsoft's user profile hive cleanup utility. Just install it and it will do its thing at shutdown, you do not have to do anything to run or configure it.

You are crazy if you think symantec uses less resources than kav. Kav6 is excellent all around with its new features, scan speed and LOW resources and if you check any comparisons kav is #1 in detection and updates.
Bring up kav and clik on Service. You will see the build info on the upper right. Leave the app activity analyzer enabled and uncheck intrusion into process in its settings. Leave office guard enabled. most do not enable the app integrity control.

Switch over from what? kav 6 is very very good. Version just released is 6.0.0.300 which is much more optomized than the initial 6 release version which was 6.0.0.299. I think you would be pleased.

before installing sp2 make sure you have nvidia driver installed, must be 81.98 or 84.21. others do not support the card unless you have a beta driver recently released.

oc amount varies with card, cooling etc. If you let it scan for a while after the max is found and it picks up no artifacts its ok. Backing off 10% of max is good idea anyway imho.

open kerio and clik on network security, on anyother applications make the "in" on trusted and internet "ask". Now when u start cs u will get a popup to allow or deny connection.
I have 2400+, 1 gig 2100 and 9800p and run hl2 highest settings wonderfully. Dont know bout quake but hl2 runs a lot better than doom3 which is same engine as quake i guess.
I was using aVG also and had for years. I was amazed how much more robust kaspersky is and I honestly feel I was vuneralable looking back.

I would also download latest version of driver cleaner pro and after uninstalling old driver and ccc then run driver cleaner in safemode for ati and ati ccc.
