Not new ram, the same Twinx3200 i built the system with. My twinx3700 wont arrive till friday or saturday. Funny thing is... it fails memtest86 within 2 hours.. yety prime has been running for 3 now and is still going.... i dunno . I just hope i havent jinxed myself now lol *crosses fingers*

Hm crap.... got to pass 18 tthen i got an error :/ ... tried upping the vdimm and it went right back to failing in the first 4 passes :/ *sigh* looks liek im gunna need that 3700 afterall.

OMG OMG DUDE!! I think i have it fixed!! Someone just posted this info on the abit forums that he found elsewhere... "Well I might have fixed my problem.. Read on another forum that you should disable the last two memory settings in the game accelerator menu, ie Read Delay Adjust and Command...

Ic7-G + Corsair Twinx3200 memory issue.

Yeh i already posted on the corsair forum yesterday. No real replies tho :/ I might try using the 5:4 divider later on if i go back to it, but i doubt even that would run stable.

Tried it... no good. Still fails either test 3 or test 4 within the first 4 passes. *sigh* Hopefully the pair of Corsair twinx3700 i ordered this morning will do the job.

Nope no good :/ Tried setting the NBS to 800, ratio to 1:1 , vdimm to 2.8 and timings to 2,7,3,3. Still fails. Only thing left on auto in the first bios area was agp divider , which was on auto (6/2/1). Should i take that off auto and set 6/2/1 manually? Would that make any difference? If...

Ive tried the different banks and the NBS800 and nothing, not sure if it was at 2.8v or 2.7 tho. I believe i had the timings set to 2,6,3,3, and it still failed. Ill try again in a lil bit tho.

What would you reccomend for memory for the IC7-g thugs? Cant get my Corsair twinx3200 (2 256mb sticks running dual ddr) to run stably no matter what voltage and timings i set it to. Looks like ill have to send them back and look for something else. Have any suggestions?

Yeh, but one thing. I test both sticks individually in memtest86 after it failed together. And both stick passed the test just fine by themselves. Would would indicate neither stick was bad right? Im using Corsair Twinx 3200 (2 256mb sticks).

Yeh but i am running at 2.7v. And when i tested both individually neither of them gave me any errors whatsoever. Hence why im so confused here. Maybe theres just something up with the 3rd ram slot? Maybe i should try slots 2 and 4 and see what happens?

Hmm well heres some more oddness.... after it failed with both modules in at 2.7v (their in slots 1 and 3 for dual ddr), i went and took out the Stick that was in the 3rd slot and tried the test... let it run to 15 passes with no errors before i turned it off. Hm so i figure must be the other...

Ok, im runing memtest now with both sticks in to see if i get any errors. How many passes do i need to know that the ram is ok? Tried running the system last night in prime with 2,6,3,3, and it got about 2 hours before it failed. Still sucks.. but at leasts its progress. Ill have to try that...

New bios for the Asus P4t533-C

ok theres a new bios out for this mobo (1005C) ... anyone try these out yet? Seems like they supposedly fixed some of the pc1066 problems this boards been having.... but when i try to update to these bios i get a warning saying that the bios doesnt match my mobo... wtf? I can get it to install...

Prime95...

Yeah when i went for pc 1066 with my pc800 samsung i used 4x too....... like i said, wouldnt work with the original bios, would be stable with beta 1005.001 but would show incorrect ammount of memory, and the newest non beta bios 1003 will show the correct ammount of memory but wont be stable...

hm.... that might be promising..... tho if i cant mount it to like my drive cage it might not be too usefull, cause mounting it on the pci retention screws wont put it very close to my ram. Also my rams banks arent all in one spot on the mobo, theres 2 horizontal above the cpu and 2 vertical on...
