    Sorry about not mentioning it but that was what i checked first. It does show as 64.0 MB. But I do not know if the Video BIOS performs an actual mem check or just shows whatever is inscribed about the card in the ROM.

But I have seen that when a floppy is the first boot option or sometimes, even otherwise, if a non-bootable diskette is in the FDD, this error shows up. I'm sure this must not be the case.     OK...you don't need to install the OS again. Just set up the motherboard, ram and processor, check the first boot. Then keep the original OS CD handy and plug in the HDD and CDD and all and power on...be sure to select standard cmos options (not necessary) and boot order in BIOS.. just do it, man!!
