If you're handy and can find a chimney sweep to inspect your work, you can buy a stainless liner, with insulation for probably around a grand. Having someone else do it is going to be more expensive but has a better chance of making your insurance company happy.
I like the quadrafires but...
Is there a reason you couldn't use scissors or shears? I don't think you'll get accurate cuts in that thickness with an X-Acto but I have been known to be wrong before.
I had a Smith Model 60 in stainless. 5-rounds (based on the J-Frame), exposed hammer, 3" barrel, rubber grips. I LOVED that dang gun. Amazingly accurate for a pocket rocket and even 158gr 357 mag loads weren't bad.
38SPL, puh-leez.
Keep in mind, I'm not recoil sensitive.
I can completely second the recommendation for a Hakko 936! Sure, there are better stations out there but these things are fairly cheap for what you get and there are absolutely TONS of inexpensive, replaceable tips which expand the capability of your soldering station.
'Course I've soldered...

I mean absolutely no offense to anyone but CB is full of people who've made huge mistakes (and some not-so-huge ones) and can give you better advice than most of us here.
I bought a Fenix TK-10 a few months ago from New Graham Knives in Bluefield, VA.
I freakin' love this thing. Comparable in size and quality to Surefire/Streamlight but it kicks out 225 lumens (!!!) on high and I think 60 on low. Lasts around 1 - 1.5 hrs on high and around 13 on low with...
I have an XD 4" chambered in .40 S&W. Love it. I've never shot a Glock or an M&P. The Glock (from handling in the gun shop) does NOT fit my hand near as well as the XD.
I have shot my boss' taurus 9mm full-size. It was OK but waaaaay to big for CCW. He also has a Kimber CDP ultracarry...
I've got little experience with Marylandians(?) so I can't really comment.
I share the previously expressed disdain for Ohio-based drivers. Either they ride your butt as if they've caught on fire and you're their only hope...OR...the just cut you off with no indication of knowledge that the...
It's a shame this thread wasn't about a month earlier. I just gave a coworker an older s754 Athlon 64 2800+ system (ECS mobo, 2gb ram, thermalright copper hs with 92mm fan and an older antec BQE case).
I've got nothing but an old Intel D845GRG mainboard and a coupl'a sticks of PC2100...
13 Steps, Drag The Waters, War Nerve, Mouth for War, Goddamn Electric, Good Friends & a Bottle of Pills, The Great Southern Trendkill, Becoming, and...well...just about all the rest :)
I'm a huge Pantera Fan.
I thought it had quite a bit of potential until about 3/4 through. Then I completely lost interest and turned it off...rather disappointing as I wanted to like it.
On MP3-CD: Corrosion of Conformity, Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, BB King, Wolfmother
On Ipod hangin' off the back of my Pioneer DEH-P690UB: Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, Sepultura, Apocalyptica, Tool, APC, Rage, Puscifer
Kidney stones were THE absolute worst pain I've ever experienced. Put up with 'em for two weeks before I finally figured out that cranberry juice and vodka weren't going to get rid of the problem. My god painkillers were such a blessing at that point...
I've also broken my middle knuckle on...
I keep my power on the driver's side, my RCA's in the middle (under center console), and my speaker wire on the passenger side. Even a half-decent set of RCA's won't be affected by power wires but doing it straight down the middle, helps me stay organized and shortens the path of my cables...
AFAIR, the scales you see hanging in the produce department are non-calibrated. The scales at the checkout, however, absolutely have to be calibrated in accord with your states regulations laid out by their department of weights and measures.
Seems like we usually had a dude in every 3...
I love, love, love my new job! I finally quit Kroger and am working for a place called Meadoworks.
My boss is absolutely awesome. Genuinely compassionate, great sense of humor, generous as the day is long, and allows us to do our work without breathing down our necks.
There also isn't...
Thank god I got the hell out of retail so I don't have to deal with idiots who think, like the OP, that just because they have an idea in their head, it should be reality.
Maybe your brother screwed up. Maybe you mis-remembered the amount. WTF do you expect a cashier to do for you in this...
It would seem as if craftsman products are going down the drain in terms of quality and the prices of these products are not reflecting that negative change.
If it doesn't have the lifetime warranty, I'm not buying a product with that label.
The best footwear I've found by a very large margin has been...the heads of my customers. Oh! I'm sorry! Your total was .000005 cents more than you had calculated in your head? Guess what! I don't set how our POS system sets taxes! My bad, dude - I didn't mean to bitch at your little...
Thanks for the kind words everyone. JeffreyLebowski, LOL. Damn good reference.
SlitheryDee brings up a good point. While I am all for suing this guy until he cries (self-admittedly out of pure vengeance) my grandfather doesn't wish to do so. He really likes Dr. Fort and Dr. Fort has done...
Thanks Dr. Fort! I can't express how grateful my family and I are for your botching a simple out-patient surgery on Thursday and forcing my grandfather into a hospital bed since then.
Thursday morning my grandpa was scheduled for a surgery intended to remove irritated tissue from the...
The EJ-series engine is, for the most part, dead-flat reliable. The EJ22E and EJ22T are both bulletproof. The first-generation EJ25 has a tendency to pop head gaskets and sometimes warp heads due to a design flaw but the second-phase EJ25 seems to be considerably better.
I bought my 1990...
The Nokians have very good reviews everywhere I've read about them. Supposedly they even perform well in the dry (ie spring and summer) though they will wear quicker. Stockers were probably Potenza RE-92's which weren't particularly awesome. The question really comes down to what kinda tires...
At walmart, I'd recommend any of their Kershaws. The CRKT M16 is also a decent knife...but I hated how it handled and felt. I ended up with an S30V Spyderco Native for about 40 bucks and was relatively happy with it but...the s30V is somewhat of a brittle steel and tends to develop micro-chips...
Wood putty could do the job but I dunno how long it would last. You could also try inserting enough toothpicks into the enlarged hole to make the screw tight. Just break 'em off flush.
The way I quit caffeine was to get a nice little kidneystone. Yup. Hurt like a mother and mostly because of the god-awful amounts of Mountain Dew and coffee I drank daily before.
Do yourself a favor and consume something that doesn't help dehydrate you.
To hades with Gojo! Simple Green, in my experience, kills grease from my 17-year-old Subaru far better than most hand cleaners do.
I just spray it on, rub it in, and use a plastic kitchen scrubber to get into the cracks and creases of my hands. I keep my nails short and use a...
