Hot! Hot! Hot! Black Enermax Chakra $48.99 AMIR

Yeah, I wouldn't put anything larger than a 9700 in this case. Even a Ninja will require some modding of the fan to fit it in.

You can also remove the fan, but then there's really no point in getting the case.

That's between the top of the heatsink to the 25cm fan. Can't find my tape measure, so it's hard to make an exact measurement. Then again, I think it's the heatpipes themselves giving the Ultra 120 its extra height, so you might be able to find a way to get it in there without interfering...

Hot! Hot! Hot! Black Enermax Chakra $48.99 AMIR

I have a 9700 in my Chakra. It has about 1cm of clearance, and according to Newegg is 142mm tall. By comparison, I believe the Tuniq is 153mm tall and the Ultra 120 is 160.5mm tall. Based on those figures, I'd guess the Tuniq would fit, though it'd be tight, but the Ultra 120 may be...

I haven't noticed anything quite that bad, but I do know if you enable the dynamic contrast option, color rendering gets cut to pieces, at least on the "A" panel. But yeah, if you're looking with something with high color fidelity, you're better off going with a more expensive MVA/PVA monitor...

Nope, Buy.com. I typically don't get big ticket items from Newegg because of the tax. It's luck of the draw I guess.

Samsung 226bw 22" lcd $350 shipped after rebate

Got one a week or so ago. I'd say it's definitely nice, but I did have to lower the brightness quite a bit to make it comfortable. Also I'm still trying to play with the colors to get them "right". I ended up with an "A" panel, meaning it's an AU Optronics instead of the "S" panel, which is a...

Do you reveal your wage to your co-workers?

At my current job, I was recruited as part of a "class", meaning about 12 of us were hired for essentially the same position. We all started off at the same salary with the same sign on bonus, which I was able to confirm after discussing it with several other class members. All of us were...

The Unofficial ASUS P5N-E SLI 650i Board Thread

Just wanted to check in now that I've got my DS3 in. It does appear this E6600 is just a poor performer, as I still can't break 3 GHz. On the up side, this board is much more stable than the P5N-E, at least for me, and allows me to get 4-4-4-15 timings with my memory, which I could never do on...

    *** Official Gigabyte P965-DS3 Thread ***

Quick question. I did a search and didn't find anything here. Is there any way to set memory command rate on this board? I just got it today and don't see any related setting in MIT even after ctrl-f1. Coming from a 650i board, I figured it would be easy to figure out.

Haven't really been messing with things recently. I basically just went back down to stock for the time being. Just ordered a Rev 3.3 DS3 from ClubIT a few days ago to see if a different MB changes things as I really don't think this board likes my memory much.

Well just had a BSOD tonight. Guess it wasn't too stable after all. Bummer. I'm tempted to just sell this board, proc and memory and just get one of the 965 boards, an E6400 before they up the cache, and some non OCZ memory, or at least non Promos. Problem is it's difficult for me to tell...

Don't feel too bad, you're doing better than I am and we have pretty similar setups :(. Just curious, what happens if you drop you Vdimm to 2.085? That actually made my memory more stable. In any case, I'm jealous you can do that with your E6600 with auto VCore and NB.

I wasn't even able to get mine to 5-4-4-15-2T at 800MHz, though 5-6-5-18-2T at 1000 seems to be working fairly well. I certainly couldn't get the EPP settings to work correctly. As far as the heat, mine are warm to the touch, but definitely not scalding. What voltage do you have yours running on?

Try increasing/decreasing that mem voltage 1 notch to see if that makes any difference. At least for my memory, it would start giving me more errors once I applied more than 2.08V, oddly enough. If that doesn't work, see if making the timings 5-5-5-15-2T works. If it does, start tightening...

Can't find too much info based on what you provided. The A-Data website lists it as CAS 5, so I'm assuming it's 5-5-5-15-2T @1.8V. My recommendation is to leave the voltage at auto and see what you can get stably at around those timings.

You will likely get increased OC performance at a lower voltage (and thus heat) with the E6400 vs. the E6600. I'd only go with the E6600 if you're planning on sticking at or close to stock speeds, or you think you need the extra cache. Most users report much greater headroom with the...

My guess with yours, as well as mine, is that something is overheating and/or ASUS still doesn't have the other timings quite right for certain memory, such as our Promos. Try setting your memory voltage to 1.9 or 2.0 (then go higher), NB no higher than 1.39, and keep an eye on your Vdroop when...
