Purchased a download from New egg Kapersky antivuis

I bought an download from new egg the Kapersky antivuris, but im having an issue, I bought it back in February 06, and now is May 06 and its telling me i need to renewal, before it expires. New egg send me a link to re-download but I get the same message after I reinstall, has anybody else had...

bought new sony viao latop

Do i need to activate windows i know it came preloaded but i dont see the message for activating it?? since it came it came with windows preloaded I dont need to activate windows, unless I do a fresh install of windows??? I Greatly appreciate your time and suggestgions THANKS

CD media question?

I went to a photo place and they saw that i have written over the cd with a black marker and they suggested I shouldnt do that cause over time it will damage the data? is this true?? Thanks for your time and suggestions.THANKS

Installed new VF700-Cu for my video card

the card is getting hot, when i touch it is too hot, i just touched the cooler, and its not hot at all, i guess i didnt center it well on gpu :(

Did I installed the VF700-Cu wrong, cuase when i touch the card is really hot, but i never touched it when it had the stock cooler that it came with is evga 6600 GT. THANKS for your time and suggestions

My motherboard has the feature and the light is not on, I have a OCZ powersupply 450 watts btw newegg has stoped selling this PSU.

The turn off switch is on and the surge protector has other things connected to it too, but i think it might be the PSU must have gotten bad or something. I alos tried an extension cord going directly to the wall outlet and it didnt work either, it was the only thing connected.

Of course i did not pull out the card while the comps was still on, It was completely shut off, I even uplug it. I have an Epox motherboard, and the motherboard itself has power and reset buttons and those dont work either, I even tried another video card i have laying around and even that...

Ipod Shuffle question

I gave up on wiamp, thats what i tried 1st, the thing is that sometimes the ipod is plug in and it doesnt recognize it. So I tried Itunes and it recognizes it everytime, but winamp, doesnt and i have to restart comps and plug it back in, it just gives me the run around.

i got the 500 mb one, and its supposed to hold 120 songs, Itunes is only letting me put 15, and when i go to my computer and right click on the ipod it says it has space left, but not itunes .

Installed new XI FI platinum

I forgot to unplug my sata dvd rom and hurray!!!! it turn on after i disconnected the dvd rom sata power connector, i think the power going to the dvd rom was loose :( im such a newb :P :(

yes i tried that i completely removed the sound card and my SAta pci card and checked the PSU going to the motherboard pins they tight and i think is that the PS died, I did notice that when i bought the PSU it ran very hot :(

the power is pluged in , the motherboard itself has buttons to turn on and reset the comps, and those not working as well this ideas of urs screwdriver to short the power pins and see if it starts to make sure its not the case. can i do that while everything else on the comps is turn on...

could it be that my power supply went bad? i did switch some power cables between my 2 hardrives and the sata cables but i put them back the way they were but still no power comes on?? any ideas?
