Yes I agree with you but think about it he has no idea what a socket is or what the memory is. There is a lot of tweaking involved in a gaming Pc. There are consoles that are ready to go
I think that if you have not bought the Fx BE, do yourself a favor get either an Ivy bridge or a Haswell. 3570 k or 4670 K. Also it is difficult to help you if you do not specify your Budget. how much do you want to spend? Please provide more information. If your budget is very limited get the...
I need help with the following , I delidded 4770 K need to find what type of coating should I use to protect the capacitors next to the Die as I will apply CLM .your help is greatly appreciated thank you
You have to look at it this way. If you delid your CPU there is no longer a warranty. Second of all You are really gonna overclock it . Most people who overclock keep their cpu s only a few years . Liquid Meta it's the only way to get at least 15 Celcius lower otherwise you only getting about...
Actually I have two systems the impact from Asus and the deluxe and both mini ITX no drop in voltages when st to manual. I am not trying to put your board down is that if you watch most of the 4770 K overcloking guides most of the experts will tell you to set to manual so that there is no drop...
try a spare psu that happened to me before and it was the psu. i HAD A CHEAP PSU WITH 3770K AND IT ONLY WOULD BOOT WHEN I WAS OVERCLOCK TO 4.5 AND ABOVE WEIRD BUT NOT ENOUGH CURRENT FLOW FOR LOW STATES
My advice to you and this is coming from somebody who sells and ugrades every year whether is cpu or video cards. You have the I7 920 The Haswell E is coming in 22 months or less that is almost 2 years. 2x780 and 4770 k even non overclock is a beast. Do not pay attention to the people that say...
Yeah I figure as much I have been overcloking it to 4.8 with no problems so I know the temperatures are not accurate otherwise the boared would be fried by now. What I am thinking is swapping for ROG is it worth it and do they perform better
I have the following question, I built a 4770 k with a deluxe but the MB temps are reading 107 c so I have the option to exchange to whatever I want. I was looking at the ROG mini impact. does it overclock better, does it keep better temps? is it more stable is the MB heatsink bigger ? . Other...
I
I do also have the Z77 ITX and found it to be an excellent board still running 24/7 @ 4.8 GHZ but delidded with liquid metal on IHS
I personally built already 2 haswell systems for a couple of friends with the deluxe ATX and Haswell is a beast just at 4.7 ghz is considerably faster than my...
Hello does anyone have any idea when the 1150 Mini ITX ASUS MB ARE COMING OUT . have been looking all over the web but I can only see reviews. Nothing for sale. I sold my z77 mini Itx deluxe and my 3770 k I already purchased the 4770 k but waiting on the Asus mini Itx z87 release
They are great temperatures. Specially if you have not delidded. YOu are doing it right by checking your event manager. That way your system is running solid. I bet your chip would run under 60 max if you deliddd and put liquid metal between die and ihs
Hawell. And as far as overclocking a 4770 k at 4.7 ghz is like an ivy at 5.1 ghz . Mos people that say haswell is not good for gaming are those who don't have it. I can tell you I have both and for flight simulator my 4770 k is running way better than Ivy .great chip all around if I delidd I wll...
I ve had several of the noctua s before and no complaints with clearance . Of course with an i7 3770 k .if he is not gonna delid I would go h60 corsair push pull but then again he is only barely overclocking it
People hate Haswell because they want 50 percent faster than previous generations. If that was the case we will all be tempted to upgrade yearly. A 5Ghz Sandy is the same as a 4.7 Gz Ivy . So theoretically not a solid conclusion ur haswell at 4.2 is like Ivy at 4.5 Gx so at the end of the day is...
You really don't need a hammer. It takes just no more than 5. Minutes to open it w a razor. You would have to be really careless if you hit the die .
A lot of people are in total disappointment with Haswell because it does not overclock @ 6ghz or some kind of record breaking speed when in...
Those temperatures remind me of my pre delided 3770 K. I think that as long as you do not run your chips too close to the tj max you should not worry. however do worry about voltages these chips are very voltage sensitive. You could easily blow it with one run of cinebench. I tell you from...
Actually you re right. I am not saying IDC is wrong. After reading his conclusions is when I decided to approach delidding my CPU. But I've seen IDC on this forum concluding that Liquid metal does work wonders on IHS to TIM. The distance does play the biggest part but liquid metal really helps...
From what I read in some forums , they quote as haswell being on the lower side as far as volts for overclocking. But I guess you guys are right better wait for some benchmarks. By the way when I first delidded 3770 k I did put the cpu back w original TIM I just took the glue off and the result...
Well I would say that you are partially right because I used Artic silver when I delided the 3770k and tempreatures were only lower by 8 celcius but when I switched to liquid metal temperatures were down by 20 degrees. I think liquid metal works like Sandy Bridge's fluxless solder. That is why I...
Totally overvolted my 3770K it does work but I an gonna replace it for a new one. I am probably gonna go 4770k as I always like to change and experiment with new technology. I am just curious if anyone knows what the situation is with the IHS TIM on Haswell. Are we gonna end up deliding ? or is...
I had similar problem with 3770k I thought it was the ram, the CPU , the Mb but the problem was the Vdroop being too large . After days of frustrated trials , I adjusted the Llc and wham problem solved . And think I could not even boot while having the issue .
The only setting that you have to to modify inside the BIOS is the CPU Turbo Core Ratio. you should be able to get up to 4.6 GHZ without adjusting the volts unless you have a hungry chip. But 4.2 should be on the fly. I would check for the latest update on that MB
So do you think is a Motherboard issue? not giving the CPU enough voltage. COuld it be that the CPU is damaged from overclocking and now requires more juice
FOr some odd reason I have the following problem. I was doing some benching @ 4.8 GHZ when I shut down the pc. It would not boot. for several days I tried booting up with only the Windows 7 logo and then a BSOD. I could go into the BIOS so I did tried all the different settings such as the...
Hello I would suggest you raise your voltages at least to 1.3 and start decreasing in increments of .05 If your chip is not stable at 1.3 then I would consider RMA because like someone else said here most of these chips run at 1.20 at 4.5> Imagine what you would have to do to get to 4.8 at that...
