notebook dvd drive

dvd drive

the dvd +rw drive quit working .i put a dvd in it and it goes through the startup and then quits hp pavilion 15-p214dx notebook core i7-5500u, cpu.2.4,750 gb hdd,6144 mb ddr3 sdram,dvd-rw,windows 8.1

i bought a hp beatsaudio laptop2.40 750 gb hdd 6144mb ddr3sdram dvd=rw optical drive and it has win.8 i want to format the hdd and put win.7 on it but i don't kn.ow how.i can't access the hdd unless i take it apart i don't want to do that.i don't know much about it

the old hdd is wd800 the new one is wd1600js.i'd rather do a fresh install but microsoft is telling me i've used it to much i think it's a load of krap but all there doing is trying to make me buy a new copy.

i built this computer after an electric storm took it out i replaced the motherboard,mem.sticks,hdd,cpu,power supply. the only things i did not replace are the vga cable,keyboard,mouse,eathernet cable.

i recently bought a intel dq963fz motherboard i hooked everything up and all that turns on is the cpu fan it won't boot .i'v e tried clearing the cmos tacking out the battery and waiting 1 min.but no boot any ideas?

starts to boot then quits

my computer is a self built. it is using windows 7 ultimate 64 bit and when i turn it on it boots to the windows 7 flag the red dot starts to show and then it stops and reboots any help? MSI P6NGM MINI ATX MOTHERBOARD 1 gig ram 80 gig seagate hdd 3.00 intel cpu .
