HardOCP 6990+6970 CF vs 580 Tri Sli

I tried staying quiet but lol a configuration that almost no one plays at gets so much attention because AMD wins but a case where the 570 stomps a more expensive 6970 in an overclock test that is far more usefull to alot more people gets ignored...

How much slower is a 6870 to a GTX570?

In some games I cant even tell the difference on my i5 rig between my 570 and 6870. But in others like Shogun 2, Dirt 2, Dawn of War Retribution, Arma 2, Metro 2033, Just Cause 2, and Starcraft 2 its night and day . Dont they make custom coolers for the HD 570?

MSI 570/oc graphics issues

Is multi-gpu the way to go now?

Over 1900x1200 resolution is the only reason I would go back to multi-gpu. Under that a single 580/570/6970/6950 is enough to max out most games.

Yeah I know but those reviews you posted are in a resolution that matter to almost no one. Its not helpful to the majority who play lower resolutions and makes the 6870 look equal to the 560. I guess that was your point?

Yeah Nvidia should be handicapped in benchmarks for doing better in certain games. Forget the people who care about those games. Same with benching at 1680x1050 in the Intel/Phenom II X4 review I mean its only one of the most popular resolutions. Forget those people too. And I think AMD had more...

It depends on the persons needs. They are pretty close in performance you wont really notice the difference till resolutions over 1900x1200 were the 2gb vram gives the 6950 an advantage. So if you like Physx, Cuda, Folding, or want game specific image quality profiles the 560 is better. If you...

GTX570 overheating, freezing games

I wouldn't say they blow up easily. 6 cards on overclock net fried their vrm's by going over 1.1 volts (on stock cooling 200+MHz core overclocks?)or by disabling ocp and running furmark (this killed a few 580's also) and the other 6 in that thread had to be faulty to begin with. That fud thread...

Someone said this to you on the EVGA forum. I would do more research on your PSU (like checking for mfg. date) and try to find out if what he said is the case here. If not your next card will do the same thing.

Multi GPU stuttering captured with 300FPS camera

Lol they fixed that. But its still hard to enjoy a ruined game. Should of got it for my 360 instead (sad) so I could of got some of my money back. Anyway I agree with OILFIELDTRASH. I enjoy my fast single gpu with no stutter. Tried xfire 6870's and I noticed micro-stutter almost immediately...

6970 worth it over GTX 295 for 1080P

Bah I thought this was over with..The 570 doesnt die easily you have to edit the bios and disable safety features and even that doesnt always kill them. Just because a few users on overclock net abused their card to death and made a fud thread where people have even lied and posted fake 570...

Yeah in an AMD dominated forum Im sure I wont be. The OP said he isn't worried about saving a few bucks he wants the better card and clearly its the 570 in his case. If he was going for multi-monitor or 2560x1600 I would recomend the 6970 in a second. Damn me for not being bias and recommending...

Lol I'm done in this thread too many AMD excuses. If you have the money get the 570 its the faster card at 1080p, has Physx, Cuda, Folding, better tessellation, better control panel, and more consistent performance across a wide variety of games.

Sorry you're right. I only read the title and gaming on 1 monitor part. So yeah 6970 is the best bet if you plan on playing multi-monitor.

In the future there is a new process that will blow the cards of today out of the water and I'm sure it will happen before we need 2gb of vram for 1080p. And just because he didn't list those features it doesn't mean they aren't nice to have. Sorry I upset you by recommending a Nvidia card...

More memory is useless at 1080p. And calling the extra features useless is just your opinion. I thought the same when I was an ATI guy but its nice to have options. Wow yeah I would go for that deal..Physx is great in Mafia 2 and Just Cause 2 is pretty fun.

You've Answered this Before : MSI 560 GTX Ti vs. 6950 1GB
