Memory running at 400mhz instead of 800

Vista media center - DVD navigation menu slow with remote

mpilchfamily - Everything other than the DVD menu works fine, meaning I can easily scroll through the recorded shows, audio, even dvd playback is fine, just the menus that seem to give me problems. RadiclDreamer - got a tip on how to do that?

uTorrent is AMAZING!

utorrent is pretty sweet. I was using peer guardian, but seems to have stopped working - is there something like it that mates well with utorrent?

Video card for an HTPC

Are you going to do any HD TV? I've got about the box (an old IBM S50) with a PCI video card that works great for recording and playing back standard analog TV. It even handles DVDs fine, but I'd never try to give it and HD.

Technet Plus Direct FREE w/ Exam Insurance purchase

Oh, I forgot, we have a cisco catalyst 2629 as the router. We also have about 15 public IP's that we need to route and port forward around our internal network, so the ability to control the routing is important.

I would think that it would hurt total bandwidth. You are going over your network to the internet - that network has X amount of usage. You would then create a vpn and run that vpn over the same network. This will not reduce the amount of usage already on your network. VPN's have...

change your home network to 10.x.x.x. Should be as simple as logging into your router, and changing it's IP address, then the dhcp range. Reboot everyone and it should work

Dreamhost.com just upped their storage and bandwidth

Free alternative to windows backup (for small business server 2003)

archcommus - I thought that all backup programs were like that. I've used Arcserve (by CA I believe) for about 5 years, and I dont' believe those tapes can be read by any other software. As for only being able to be read by windows backup - all you'd have to do is find a windows machine.

Free alternative to windows backup (for small business server 2003)

Dell says customers just not asking for AMD chips...

I tend to agree with Dell on this one. I think most people who like AMD (I prefer Intel myself) are more likely to build their own system anyway. People who pick out an AMD chip are probably going to pick out the ram and motherboard also. Probably an overgeneralization, but that's how I see...

New Discovery line Roomba Red robotic vacuum for $101 delivered.

I love my original roomba. You do end up treating it like a pet, just because it has so many beeps and whatnot that it seems to have a personality (don't know about taking it on vacation though....). Roomba is awesome if you have a pet - it'll do a great job of keeping your house fur free.
