A long long is 64 bits on typical platforms.
Great technical interview question.
Forget the math. Digit-by-digit compares are difficult and costly (division takes way too long) on a machine that doesn't understand numbers in base-10 form. Especially when comparing starting at the MSB. Just...
I had the Radeon 64MB VIVO SE (clocked at 166mhz) running fanless for over a year without any problems. The card was even in a warm, quiet case in a warm dorm room, so I'm sure you'll be fine.
"How come you get a social worker? I'm the one with stigmata."
Anyway, to keep it going:
In the episode were Bart becomes a Junior Camper, there's a scene where Martin is in the arcade. What does he ask the game he's playing to do?
In XP, the frequency of a Pentium III-M/IV-M/M processor is tied in with the power profile being used. 'Max Battery', for example, sets my laptop to half its normal frequency. See here for more information, and about SpeedStep in general.
If you really hate it then just delete/rename the acrobat plugin dlls. Get rid of nppdf32.dll in the moz/plugins directory as well as the copy in reader\browser in program files.
I think he was talking about 3D content creation apps, not games. In any event, the original UT is a four year old game, so, no, 80 FPS is not very impressive.
1700+ stock w/ GC68 + Panaflo L1A @ 12V on an ECS K7S5A: 43C idle/47C load (socket thermistor). Case is at 33C.
A $6 aluminum heatsink is absolutely fine with this proc, even with a low flow fan on top. Hell, even with the L1A @ 7V, socket temps are 47C idle/51C load. I couldn't be more...
Elixir chips are made by Taiwan Semiconductor, Infineon is a division of Siemens. Infineons are used in Mushkin high performance memory, and Crucial also uses their chips sometimes. Elixirs are used by nobody (PNY doesn't really count). My roommate got 2 sticks of PNYs from BB w/ Elixirs, and...
I don't exactly understand how Amazon and others manage to sell this for at least $20 over the listed price at iRiver's official site (follow the 'eShop' link). Even sketchy pricewatch vendors list at $175. Perhaps $150 is the new MSRP.
Shipping is between $6-$8 UPS ground. $12 Sales tax in...
<< I want to buy new computer speakers and I want to know, are these things really that bassy? I can't stand a ton of base, I much prefer a clear crisp sound. I know the Z560's have a great subwoofer, but is there a way to turn it down? >>
I keep mine at the minimum bass level and flat EQ on...
woohoo-- I scored an opened Sony D-CJ01 mp3 CD player at GoodGuys yesterday for $90. NINETY FREAKIN BUCKS. Not a scratch, but no box. I'd never pay twice this price for a Rio SP250.
God I love this country.
I think all of you have a rather short memory:
what about the Gateway 6400 server deal? I'm pretty sure that was the longest thread (also longest lived) of the year at the very least.
Or the January $99 Iomega ZipCD that was really a Plextor?
Or the Canon S100's at Compusa for $199?
Or the...
For a quiet (28dB) 60mm might I suggest the Sanyo Denki 109R0612H402? @ 19.1CFM it's not exactly a powerhouse, but with ASII on a 1.2 it's adequate. I'm running mine with a Gladiator on a 1.4 and it's fine.
correct link
$50 is probably just an old rebate, and they haven't updated the page to reflect the new one.
The rebate isn't valid for another few hours in CA anyway. :)
linkified
The 'Jet Cool' claims to be effective for up to 1.5GHz Athlons. Don't know anything about the fan (Antec brand, low profile) but the HS design itself seems to be a cylindrical copper core surrounded radially by thin aluminum fins. The bottom isn't a big flat square of copper, so...
<< Are those Imation cdrs good quality? >>
AFAIK all high-speed Imation CDRs recently manufactured have been CDRIdentified as CMC Magnetics phthalo, exactly like the Kingstons except for the silk-screening. They aren't Taiyo Yuden-quality but I've never had issues with them so they're...
<< How do I figure out if it works with the Canon S300 Camera I just ordered --Says it uses Type 1 cards. >>
Canon uses CompactFlash Type 1-- wrong format, this is SmartMedia.
The previous discussion about speed was regarding CompactFlash, not SmartMedia.
I'm under the impression...
<< anyone mention if these have a top coating or not? i find that very important for audio cds in the car >>
The 12x's don't have the thickest of coatings (they're pretty translucent), but it's better than nothing.
<< For the Canon s100- I would wait a week or two- it is being discontiued as of June 1st, and being replaces with the s110, so the prices should start to dive. >>
Ermm link me up on that "S110" will ya? Because I could swear there was never any such thing, nor will there ever be...
I try to normalize when possible since the audio portion on a lot of DivXs ends up very very quiet. It's just annoying to have to crank up the volume all the way just to hear conversation in a rip. It's not entirely necessary, just convenient.
Multi-Channel sound is possible but difficult with Divx. See Divx Digest for tips.
Why, pray tell, is this necessary? The only reasons I can think of are capturing a game or copying a DVD...
