I just bought an OEM P3 Slot 1 1ghz/100fsb cpu without heatsink and fan. I bought a separate heatsink for it but requires me to take out the plates. I don't want to take the plates out and to find out the cpu is DOA, then I couldn't RMA it.
I'm thinking about loading the cpu without the H/F...
I would like to thank marill999 for this post. I've been wanting to buy my own cable modem and this is just what I needed. I received mine today and called Comcast (Michigan) to provision my cable modem. Gave them S/N, MAC address, Model Number and they said it won't be a problem at all.

Demon-Xanth: I don't know if you encode mp3Pro before but the benefit is MP3Pro format uses less space than MP3. Less space means more songs for your storage.
Nefrodite - I guess i'm not an audiophile. I can't tell the difference in quality between the mp3Pro and mp3 format .

I'm looking at a few MP3 players but it doesn't say that it can support the new MP3Pro format from Nero. Does anybody knows any mp3 player does support it. TIA.
If you have extra money to burn, get the DI-714. This 4 port router is also a cable router and includes a 802.11b wireless connections also. Firmware is upgradable. Works pretty good as my network.
flexy - if XP is locking files while defraging then it's useless to fdisking because when you re-install XP and it happens those lock files are everywhere then you still have unmovable files everywhere.
Anybody else have another theory on these unmovable files?
I noticed when i'm defragin my desktop hdd i see these unmovable files all over the place. It's not like on my laptop it's one continous line. What are these unmovable files anyway? Fdisking my hdd and doing a fresh install will help to put these unmovable files to one continous line?

AMDPwred - you better call your school before buying that wifi because 802.11a and 802.11b are not backward compatible to each other. They used different spectrum range.
SteelCityFan - we have pretty much the same setup. I bought the d-link 714 and loving it...
try removing the drive from the device manager and let your os reinstall it, then reboot . It fixed my problems before when it stop recognizing my dvd.
I did the search and didn't see yours. Anyway, that deal is pretty good. I'm cancelling my order and order it from your link. Thanks for saving me a few bucks.

Sh8t. I missed this deal. I went to Dell to see if they still have it but the price was changed to 759 now. With this price you pretty much can buy the best LCD monitor out there for 17". Anyway, which is the best by the way?
Try Staples first, the store usually have a godd exchange policy. Make sure you still have your receipt. If the store fails, try contacting microsoft ( the number should be on the package) and they can send you one right away.
How big is your file? I used to have this problem and upgraded my memmory to 256MB and I don't get it anymore. Anyway, my file was 180MB.
Another suggestion is do the Help>Detect and Repair options.
I got this from Onvia email.

this is so like in the movie theater. you pay $8 to watch a movie but they show you commercials before the main feature.
can we do a petition on this also.
I saw this commercial on TV, you know the one they scratch the car and then apply this gooey and the scratch magically disappears, and I'm thinking of buying but I thought this will be just another rip off. I would like to know if this works cause my car really needs it.
