No Signal

My computer has been working fine up till recently when I turned it on and got a message on my monitor saying "no signal detected" or something like that. I disconnected the DVI cable and reconnected it and still got that signal. So I used the DVI to VGA adapter for my video card and tried it...

EVGA Vista Drivers

Good lord, I guess the answer to my question is yes then. I'll have internet installed tomorrow, so I'd rather not go through the trouble of burning to a disc and such. This has got to be the least pleased I've ever been with the Anandtech people, come on guys...Either way, I need to go sleep so...

EVGA Vista Drivers

I'm on my laptop, not desktop...I can't download it to my desktop. Still, my question is, do I need to download drivers online? Because the disc refuses to work.

It All Works

I had problems installing Vista. The problem was my boot order had the HDD before the DVD Rom. Therefore it tried to read Vista off the HDD. Before it was even installed. But that was solved pretty quickly.

EVGA Vista Drivers

I am running Vista and recently got an EVGA 8800 GTS. I went to install the drivers but it brings up a pop up saying the disc is only compatible with XP. Do I need to download drivers for Vista online? I won't be able to go online till Friday is the problem.

It All Works

I just finished putting together my parts and booted up and everything is working just great. OS installed and everything. All I gotta say is I'm never ever buying pre built again, it was well worth my time building myself. Thanks for all the help, AT.

No Thermal Paste

Oh, would you guys recommend I buy some Arctic Freezer for example? Can I at least do as much as booting up and basic use with the paste on the heatsink?

Moan: What's with Newegg's shipping? I ordered stuff from them Friday night with 3 business day shipping. Let's see that's Monday the 23rd, Tuesday the 24th and Wednesday the 25th. But my tracking number says it's not supposed to arrive until Thursday the 26th. Not a huge deal, but 3 days is 3 days.

Looking for a Motherboard

RAM prices are just crazy

I know how you feel. I bought this same kit (except it wasn't EPP). For $236 - $40 MIR back in January. Today it's $153 - $30 MIR. $83 cheaper without the rebate and $73 cheaper after the rebate (which I've yet to receive). Now that, is painful.

HX 620 or 520?

I'm currently building a system right now, I've got an 8800 GTS (640MB). Buy.com has the 520 for $90 shipped AR and the 620 for $130 shipped AR. Will the 520 be fine for the GTS? If so, is it future proof? I don't want to get it if it's only going to last me a year or so.

I'm willing to pay the price of the 640MB if there's a chance I'll be dissapointed with the 320. What I'm looking for is it to be able to play all of today's games flawlessly. Now if that means I need a GTX, that can't happen. Is the performance increase of the 640 worth the extra money. Also...
