Someone posted not too long ago a link to a site that sells these kits along with Enermax products. I believe it has the word "tricky" in the URL. Anyone knows which site is it?
It sells for about $12 and with shipping comes close to the price who are looking at. Is always a problem to order minor components alone because you will pay sometimes 50% or even 100% of the cost of the component in shipping. It is different than when your order is $150 or $200 and you get...
From a single experience (statistical reliability null) I got 3 more degrees(Celsius) dropping 2 cfm. Heat transfer is not a linear function in many cases and you need to experiment a bit with your own conditions.
1.) Enable HD and printer sharing on both PCs
2.) Right click on the devices to share and enable sharing on both PCs
3.) Enable Netbeui On both PC and bind it to Netbeui.
4.) Connect your PCs to the hub with straight thru cat5 cables
5.) you should be all set.
Why, you are not receiving a product, just a demo and most companies give their demos free since it is a very good marketing tool. It is a ripoff.
They want to show you their product and they want you to pay for it. It is like going to a car dealer and having to pay for the test drive.
Should't...
But WIN 2k will put all PCI and AGP on the same IRQ, and then will use its second level interrupt handler to manage I/O. Isn't that correct? If so, the main reason would be ventilation only.
Check out the Inwin S508 at Directron. I just got one, It is a well designed and built case and comes with a quiet 300 watt power supply P4 ready.
Do not buy a cheapo power supply, it ends up being much more expensive: problems & risk to your system.
Sorry about cross posting this message. There were no takers on the Operating Systems Forum.

"Safe Settings" is on the Setup menu. You have to enter into setup mode by pressing the "Delete" key at startup (there should be a message on the bottom of your screen.) After you load "safe Settings" select "Save and Exit" and start your Win2K install...
<< It also gives me idle temps of about 31-32 with a 26CFM fan (9CFM lower than the stock fan). >>
Noriaki, did you replaced the fan? What fan did you use?

<< with ACPI enabled, all devices will share IRQ 9 >>
I have my system (Win 2k SP1 - MSI KT7 Turbo, Duron 850) all devices on IRQ 11 and everything seems to be working OK. Did you guys read somewhere that it is suppossed to be 9 or is just any of the available IRQs??
I read on the Microsoft site that is not upgradeable to Win2k. So your sole option is to do a clean install.
Which is also highly recommended. Even by MS.
Badthad is right. A suffle of PCI slots and the sequence in adding the cards one by one will give you the settings that you need. But you have to be patient.
The PCI slots have IRQs assigned by default. Often you can change them in Setup but I would recommend you to play with the cards in...
It is downright shameful and decadent to do something like that and then brag about it. Then there a some that try to justify it by saying "everybody is doing it" or "it is a huge corporation".
If you did that just keep it to yourself do not portay it as a "hot...
Why IPX? You do not IPX unless you are using netware. Set NETBEUI protocol on both computers, enable sharing on both and then on My computer click on the drive that you want to share and set it as
shared resource.
One of the ways to slow the upgrade fever is to stay away from ads and news that temptape you. It is fun to upgrade an tinker but most of the time I find myself just rationalizing after the fact. Just ask yourself: do I really need this? Most of tyhe times the answer wil be:
NOT Really.
Peace
It sounds more like your floppy is at the end of its life. Since Windows is prompting you to mount a floppy it looks like you have FDD controller enabled in bios setup. have you opened your case, check that the FDD cable is secured on the motherboard and the floppy; check the power connection...
