Just to reiterate whats been said here really, get a good pair of shoes. Make sure to stretch/warm up properly. After running make sure to cool down/stretch. I would only ice if there is serious inflammation from something like a sprain etc. Putting ice on a muscle like that after hard exercise...

Sapphire HD 5970 4GB Toxic or GTX 480 Fermi in SLI?

A 5970 is 2x5870. 5870>gtx460. Therefore sli 460's aren't as good as 1x5970 not to mention this overclocked one. Just to clear that up.

AMD Phenom II X4 945 Deneb 3.0GHz and Radeon HD5750--Good pair for an upgrade?

Take that deal, sell the video card, then invest in a 5770, gtx460, or whatever else fits in your budget. The samsung spinpoint f3 is an awesome, cheap drive. Highly recommend buying one for ~$50. You could even sell your old ones for $20 or whatever to help cover the cost.

How much will a CPU bottleneck a GPU?

Just throwing it out there I believe my CPU bottlenecks crysis at 1080, ultra high, max AA. Runs roughly 30fps or so and so I figured I would adjust the video card and squeeze some more out with overclocking... No matter how much I overclocked I never saw 1 fps better :(

best brand for ATI 5870

I got my 5870 on sale with COD MW:2 for $350 from newegg. I couldn't pass on the deal. It is a HIS V-cooler, it is not the turbo (factory overclocked) model. I love this card. It has never reached higher than 64 degrees via CPUID Hardware monitor. You can barely hear the fan and even at 100&#37...

Am I getting the right board for i5-750 + SLI?

Correct me if i'm wrong but the bandwidth from cards in SLI + SATA III would start hurting performance on a P55? I know just doing SLI with a 16x and an 8x only is 2-3% slower than 2 16x's but I thought when you added SATA III that reduces performance even more.

XFX Radeon 5870

Wow I have a HIS v-cooler 5870 and running 100% with milkyway and fan on auto I average low to mid 60's. I guess that is pretty good... I didn't really know how mine compared.

I would personally go with either a 5850 or 5870 for rendering. I bought a 5870 for $340 with free cod mw2 on newegg a week or so ago. I don't have a whole lot of experience with rendering but from what I know is fairly gpu intensive. Also, I don't see the point in the 2 wd black hd's. Samsung...

Give me your sore throat/cold remedies.

Tylenol/Ibuprofen for sore throat, lots of clear liquids, and if you think its caused by drainage then some sort of anti-histamine (zyrtec, claritin, benadryl). Or you could do alcohol, either works :)

Ok so I read around a bit and went through and enabled C1E, C3/C6/C7, CIE, CPU thermal monitor, EIST, and Bi-Directional something. Finally I see it throttling around the CPU! That had me concerned.

i7 gaming/multitasking build

Core i7 860 temperatures

Just a comparison my 5870 is at 34C idle and in case temp is 26C so I do have plenty of cooling besides the apparently horrid stock cpu heatsink.
