I have an nForce board and updated it like you suggested and that didn't seem to help. I'm at a loss at what's going on and I'm considering sending the thing back to Newegg and sticking with Nvidia.
Edit: D'oh.. I just re-read your post and I haven't tried updating the BIOS yet. I'll give...
Whenever I load a game it defaults automatically to 800x600, but my monitor is set to 1280x1024. My older 4200ti didn't have this problem so I'm assuming it has something to do with the new video card or it's software.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the latest drivers and also...
What he said. It definately sounds like a winsock problem.. which are more common that you might expect.
If you wanted to manually do the fix just do the following:
Run "regedit"
Delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Winsock
Delete...
Actually, I think I already saved the BIOS because it wouldn't let me continue w/o doing so. F10 is just the prompt for Save and Exit? Yeah, I did that.
Anything else?
Hi,
Just setup a computer and I'm a new to this whole thing.
My motherboard is a NFORCE2 EPOX|8RDA3+ and it's supposed to support a 400mhz FSB. The manual only showed two jumper settings for the FSB and they were 66-100mhz and 166-200mhz (I believe). Is there something I'm missing or is the...
Yep, that was the problem. The version of Nero I was using didn't want to use my CDRW. I went with the current version and everything works fine now.
Thanks to everyone who posted.
I'll check the BIOS when I get home from work to see if that's the problem, however, the drive is listed as "ATAPI 48X32" in the Device Manager panel. The Device Manager doens't list any conflicts or have any alerts listed next to the device name.
The problem I'm having is that Nero won't...
I tried that site and couldn't find anything. Can't I use a LiteOn driver for the device? I vaguely remember something about the two (Cendyne/LiteOn) being the same.
Taken from TB:
"Livewarehouse has the rare IBM / HITACHI 120GB ATA/100 7200RPM 8MB Cache Hard Drive - $87. ($5 Priority Mail Shipping)"
Anyone know much about the quality of this drive? The price seems good to me since it's about $0.76 a gigabyte.
Edit: Forgot to mention it's OEM.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Bump for a oustanding game. I've played the dark side, light side, and now I'm playing the light side again. Er...wait...I just realized that I'm a loser.
Good deal, however, PSO is a terrible game. It's fun for maybe about a week, then you realize that all the levels and monsters are sadly the same. Could be useful for a trade to a newer game though.
Edit: Yes, it includes Episodes I and II.
I went with a .refurbished Xbox from Overstock for $139.99. It has the 1.3 chipset in it so you shouldn't have any problems modding it. I've had no problems with the refurbished Xbox and I've had it for six months now, also, it looks brand new as does the Controller-S it came with. However...
I totally agree with you that KOTOR is a fantastic game. And, yes, HL2 looks to be a great game. I'm just not sure if I should get the PC or Xbox version. Oh, and I can't wait for Halo 2 either!
