Thank you, I will check that out now! I also just found a deal on newegg for a Rosewill CAPSTONE 550M 550W Modular Power Supply (80 PLUS GOLD Certified) for $42 so I will snag that up now as well if the build looks good!

Yes this is another thing I do realize as the developers have not yet optimized the game much, but plan on doing so before release. I think I may end up overclocking a bit and if that doesn't help anything, I'll just recommened he start saving for a new rig!

Definitely dated! I understand and agree that a whole new computer would be the best bet, and that hopefully will be an option within the year; but for now he is stuck with what he has!

Well he started at 1920 x1200 but even tried it on 1280 x 800 but did not see any great improvement. Some improvement of course, but also made it a bit harder to see what was going on!

So we decided to go this route, and my cousin put everything together but after the POST it says "CMOS failure", and wants you to enter a boot up CD or restart. She reset the CMOS using the jumpers about 10 times but to no avail. She also tried a batter from another computer that was working...

Thanks for the reply guys; I'll read into it more when I get home. I may be able to get a copy of Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit, so the $400 budget can be without the OS. Not near any microcenters either!

I tried to re-install the mugen 2, no avail. I can tell something is wrong though, it just is not mounting properly. Anyhow, I then installed the stock cooler, and temps are at like 45 idle 75 load right now.. still high but better than before and I'm sure that was the problem. Anyhow, rather...

:). I did double check for any covers! One thing I did during 1 installation was wipe off previous TMI with my fingers. This may be an odd question but, when installing a heat sink that requires installation from the back side of the mobo, how do you go about doing so? Do you find it...

And I will do exactly this! Detach everything :(, clean cpu and hsf, apply as5 with the line method and a small bit on the hsf, then attach it all again! I will report back tonight. Hopefully this is the problem; though I will feel retarded if it is.
